I had a great stay. The room is spacious, clean and quiet. There is a balcony to enjoy nature and reading. The internet is working well. The family is so helpful and always available. They organized the safari for me and brought me to a restaurant and the bus station. I can definitely recommend this place.

Would recommend this place to anyone wanting to go on the Yala safari. Priyah was an excellent host and couldn’t have done enough for us. He collected us from bus stop, took us back to bus station when we were moving on and made sure we got on the bus ok. He took us out the night before our safari to see the local wildlife, crocodiles, birds, bats it was amazing. He also helped us with booking the Yala safari and we thought this was at such a reasonable price, much cheaper than we had seen online! Safari in itself was amazing. Rooms were immaculate. We cannot recommend this place enough - 10/10 thank you so much for the most amazing stay!!

Lake Face Cabana is the perfect accomodation for nature lovers. We enjoyed watching the birds and the crocodile in the morning before we had a really rich and tasty breakfast. The 3 guest houses are built on stilts and 2 of them have a nice view to the lake. The owner family allowed us to choose the room/house that we wanted because we were the only ones that had booked. We loved our stay, but you should know that the rooms are rather basic (cold water only and fan only, no air condition), but we loved the cold shower with a good stream of water and we loved sleeping with fresh air in the night from the outside. It was at the perfect temperature for sleeping and with the moskito nets, we had no problems with moskitos.

This hotel was an absolute gem! The lovely family running it were very knowledgable and had provided everything we wanted from our stay. The safari was incredible. We saw an amazing variety of animals, including elephants, elk, white spotted deer, crocodiles, 3 leopards (even a black leopard!), buffalo, peacocks, iguanas, eagles, a multitude of birds, and white monkeys. The half-day safari was more than enough time to see everything we wanted, although I would say we got lucky. The entire property was spotless, and the staff were incredibly hospitable. They even woke us up with coffee in the morning and gave us smoothies when we arrived! Our room was immaculate, and they even helped us arrange our travel for the following day. We couldn't have asked for a better experience.

Amazing tree house over looking rice paddies. A really nice place to relax. Room and bed are large and comfortable. The family who runs this are really nice. The mum is a an excellent cook (definitely take dinner at the cabana) and brings you tea in a big teapot. The dad is a safari guide and he was really good... we got to see the leopard! The safari included breakfast and the price was really good.

Nice clean rooms. The location was not what we expected, not walking distance to anything and felt very isolated because there's only two rooms at this accomodation so there was no atmosphere at all. The walkway down to our room from the road was also very dark and a bit difficult to navigate through a garden. The owner charged us for the water he gave us alongside the breakfast that was included but didn't tell us it would cost extra until the end. His English wasn't very good so it made it difficult to organize things with him.

Nice property. Dulip the host did a good job in making us comfortable at the homestay. He is a starting entrepreneur managing the homestay on his own. He is the host, the manager, the chef, security, housekeeper...... Does all of it himself as a starting business and does a good job in ensuring his guests are comfortable. Included Dinner and breakfast were awesome and the portions were generous, sufficient for 3 meals rather than one. The room was spacious with lots of sitting space outside as well. The property has a pool and lake view.

We stayed in the tree house. Amazing view over the river. Best Sri Lankan breakfasts all home cooked. Not in centre of Tissa so not many tourists. But that made it all the better.
