The riad dar Awil was the second at during my trip and it did set up expectations for the others. The service from the personal is excellent. They are polite, professional and made sure I have a quick check in and a comfortable stay. Rooms were super clean, the hotel seems to be new, the design was super cozy. Breakfast was great. Thank you to everyone at Riad Dar Awil for making my stay so memorable. I could gladly return and recommend this riad to anyone visiting Essaouira.

The location of the riad is great, close to everything and of course close to the sea! The riad is very nicely decorated, everything is really beautiful. We had the room with sea view on the top floor. It has a terrace where you can admire the sea (note that the terrace is part of the bigger terrace open to everyone so not really a private terrace but this was fine for us). The owner of the riad is really nice and helpful, also everybody else on the staff were super nice. Really a perfect place to stay in Essaouira! The breakfast is served on the terrace.

We loved our stay here! We spent 10days over the Christmas period, and really enjoy how peaceful it was staying at Kasba Bonheur. Emma & Gilles are truly incredible hosts, and the whole staff was friendly and always willing to help. If you are into surfing, Gilles can give you lots of tips of where to go to find the best waves 🌊 The food is likely one of the best you can find around Essaouira, so totally recommend eating here. I would recommend hiring a car, as the hotel is slightly out of Essaouira town. We booked one via the hotel, and the whole operation was quite straightforward. Emma arranged it for us! 🌟Less stressful than hiring one at the airport, although you will have less choice on what car you will be given. Overall it was great and if we go back to Essaouira we'd definitely stay here again. Thanks to all the amazing staff! Sending love, Ilaria, Tom & Arthur

Wonderful stay in the Riad Kafila, very clean, perfect location, magnificent breakfast on the terrace with a view on the Atlantic Ocean. Also our room had a view on the Atlantic Ocean, it was incredible! The staff is very helpful, however, make sure to take quick showers if you are more than 2 people in the room. The hot water boiler does not heat a lot of water, might be tricky, but not impossible:)

The staff were the best part, the most welcoming, helpful, kind, fun people. They really made sure we were looked after and were so attentive. Breakfast was wonderful every day, a serving of fruits with a delicious homemade yogurt, fresh tasty Moroccan bread and pancakes, and eggs however you liked, a little variety each day, and always served with a smile!
The pool was beautiful and the grounds are stunning. The location was out of town enough to be serene and feel like your own little paradise, but close enough to get to the town in less than 5 minutes by car, we even went for a little run one morning to the town it’s that easy.
Overall a memorable stay that was the perfect start to our Moroccan holiday, thank you so much to the whole Villa Beldi team!!

We had a 3-night stay at Terrasses Vertes. At first it was a bit difficult to find as we didn't read the instructions, so do that ;) Simon, the host, was super friendly and welcoming.
We had had a little issue with our room and after addressing it to Simon, we could get another room which was perfect! Great service.
Rooms provide all comforts and the garden/pool area provide a perfect place to relax (in March it was still a bit too cold for a swim, but chilling in the afternoon/evening sun was amazing!
Breakfast ist good, didn't try dinner thought (had that in Essaouira).

Honestly flawless. The hosts are incredible and work so hard to create a little slice of paradise only 15 minutes away from Essaouria. This was the perfect place for me to relax, work and study for my exams.
The only small thing I would say, it would have been good to know that there are no shops or restaurants within walking distance and no food (except breakfast) served, so make sure if you don't have a car, that you bring some food with you for the first day!
Featuring pool views, Riad Ghazal offers accommodation with patio, around 3.8 km from Golf de Mogador. This property offers access to a terrace, a pool table, free private parking and free WiFi.

Arrived here from Marrakesh... the long-way... with some 5 hours in the saddle. Bit of a bugger to find from the road using Google Maps initially... but easy when you know how... and look for the signs! However the hospitality was overwhelming with a "bikers beverage of choice" and a quick brief of the Riad and room facilities... Jamal and Kati made me feel very welcome indeed. Great accommodation and very secure parking for many bikes. The room was excellent with great en-suite facilities. The shower was hot and powerful... great for my aches and pains! The bed was big and comfortable. Although they didn't offer dinner the french restaurant they recommended was tres magnifique... and only 400m from the accommodation. The sunset "beverage" on the terrace was idyllic... no noise... just birdsong! I slept like the dead and woke to a magnificent breakfast on the patio overlooking the pool... I did not want to leave! Again I would stay here every time I come to the west coast of Morocco... and despite not being in Essaouira... its in Ghazoua... about 8km outside... its worth it for the peace and tranquility... and that restaurant up the road! I really didn't want to leave... but Casablanca was calling!
But to any travellers... especially bikers... for me, it doesn't get any better than this for a weary traveller to rest!
to Jamal and Kati... Thank you... Shkran... Tanmirt... Merçi... Je suis Mouchè... ton ami!
Warm and welcoming guest houses are ideal for travellers who prefer unfussy accommodation with a personal touch. They are usually family-run, and your host will provide local recommendations and optional meals. Often cheaper than regular hotels, guest houses can also feature a cosy living room and a garden.
Great location right in the middle of the Medina but very quiet (I was there during Ramadan so it was perhaps quieter than usual). Spacious room, nice and clean. Traditional style of building, very charming. Lots of German and French retirees :)
Super quiet and cozy place, located 30 minutes walk from city center. Host is super friendly and helpful. Would definitely recommend this place for someone who is looking to work, they have everything you need: nice coworking room and fast, by local standards, wi-fi. I would say that it is not the place if you are looking for endless parties at rooftops during moroccan nights, but it is great in sense Kamal(host) developing it: for people how want combine work / leisure.
We really liked the accommodation, great location just a few steps from busy shops and restaurants, yet a very quiet place. Close to the sea and the port. Simo is a fantastic host, he was waiting for us by the bus and escorted us to the riad. He was very helpful all the time, he advised us good local restaurants and helped with printing the boarding pass.
We were at Chems Bleu for only one night but wish to be more. Great location, welcoming host, delicious breakfast and good comfortable bed. The best guesthouse we were at during our 10-days journey in Morocco.
Thus beautifully done out guest house has the most incredible chilled out vibe. The terrace overlooks the surf so you can keep an eye out for the swell and is perfect for a spot of yoga or just chilling watching the sunrise and sunset. It is set in a quiet, rural village and although I would recommend having a car, there were lovely walks to explore the dunes, beaches and landscapes. Food is delicious and hosts friendly, welcoming and helpful. Would highly recommend.
Everything, clean and quiet.
Great host and very informative.
Great location and easy to find.
20 seconds walk from great breakfast and a 3 mins from a bank.
Located inside the medina
Very nice apartment at a great location. 5 minutes walk from the CTM bus stop, 10 minutes walk to the beach and 15 min walk to the Medina. Shops, restaurants, eateries etc next to the apartment.
The apartment has 2 small bedrooms and a huge living room. Very quiet and relaxed local area.
The host is very friendly and communication was perfect.
Great location, great roof terrace, great host. NY stay was short and day was windy and little bit chilly but I still loved every second of it. I can highly recommend this charming riad.
