Diar Illi is a hidden gem, just an hour outside of Marrakesh. We spent one night in the bungalow, which exceeded all our expectations. It is spacious, features a private pool, and has a large terrace with an unforgettable view. The decor is authentic, with great attention to detail. The entire hotel is beautifully maintained, and the gardens are stunning—you can truly feel the love and care that goes into managing the property.
The staff and owners were incredibly friendly, and the food was AMAZING. We had the best dinner of our entire time in Morocco, and the breakfast was outstanding—both in quality and quantity! :-) We'll never forget enjoying breakfast on our private terrace, soaking in the sun and the stunning hills surrounding the property.
We're already looking forward to our next stay!

We stayed here en route to Ait Ben Haddou to break up the long journey. The man running it seemed nice and helpful. There was also a friendly Labrador called Sam. The garden and pool area was lovely. We were given a complimentary mint tea and snacks on arrival. The room was a huge suite with a large bathroom, sitting area and double bed with a balcony. The bed was comfortable and the room had air conditioning. Parking was available on site and included.
Situated in Chtawna in the Marrakech-Safi region, Chez Kossai Atlas Farm has a patio. This property offers access to a terrace and free private parking.
Warm and welcoming guest houses are ideal for travellers who prefer unfussy accommodation with a personal touch. They are usually family-run, and your host will provide local recommendations and optional meals. Often cheaper than regular hotels, guest houses can also feature a cosy living room and a garden.
Location on top of the hill and the quietness is memorable. We could hear the calls to prayer from the surrounding villages which was magical. Food was amazing. Room was large for three of us as we had a suite. Grounds were absolutely lovely and we wish we had more time to relax there.
Everything about Diar Illi was exceptional. The property itself is beautiful with lots of places to sit and relax, all with panoramic views of the surrounding mountains. Breakfast is included and there is an option to eat lunch and dinner at the property as well (€25 pp per meal). We did this and it was absolutely delicious!! Some of the best food we’ve had in Morocco and huge quantities. Hicham, the main host was brilliant - very friendly and helpful and took us hiking up a nearby mountain on our second day.
Elegantly designed and impeccably managed, this establishment boasts charming artifacts and breathtaking interiors. The 25-30 meter pool is perfect for both swimming laps and leisurely relaxation. The cuisine is truly delightful. The staff, notably Hisham and Louis, are exceedingly friendly and helpful, adding to the overall exceptional experience.
beautiful location on top of hill overlooking the valley
large well maintained garden
great pool
charming staff making extra efforts ie lighting a campfire in the evening
surprisingly good homecooked style food
This place exceeded all our dreams for a quiet vacation. The first night we stayed was already impressive, but on our trip back from the Sahara, we stayed here for another night, and a fantastic surprise awaited us. We had been upgraded to a bungalow apartment, and did it deliver! Private pull and outside space. Our toddler and our selfs loved it. The food and the staff were big points here, as were the beautiful views and outdoor areas (toddler-safe playground, donkey, etc.). Everything was just great!
We were staying in one of the family suites. the view was astonishing. The host and the staf were extremely helpful and friendly. We would certainly recommend this place to stay in the Atlas area.
