Awesome stay. Arturo was extremely friendly and went to great lengths to provide everything we need. I also recommend tours he can arrange - it was great, without tourists traps and much cheaper than in the city.

I loved this accommodation, very quiet and co.foetable yet it was perfectly located within walking distance to the centre. There is an organic market within 5mins walk but also an excellent restaurant just above the premises. I would definitely stay again. Thank you.

The hosts are super friendly and we always found a way to communicate, even though we don't speak Spanish and they didn't speak English. They were incredibly helpful, showing us to a restaurant and even driving us to the bus stop one day. The grounds are very pretty and well-kept, with cozy hammocks and fairy lights on the terraces. Our room was also nice and clean and the Wifi worked well. Drinking water was available.

The location was great. I stayed here during Day of the Dead celebrations - its a safe neighbourhood, with local activities and street parties (and is an alternative to Centro, which is really only 15 min walk away). Also some great local cafes. The accomodation is basic, but clean and comfortable, helpful staff with daily room service, and a great verandah.
Warm and welcoming guest houses are ideal for travellers who prefer unfussy accommodation with a personal touch. They are usually family-run, and your host will provide local recommendations and optional meals. Often cheaper than regular hotels, guest houses can also feature a cosy living room and a garden.
Everything! Comfy bed, personal fan, AC at night, even got an extra pillow if you needed it. Very social hostel, something on every day and night if you'd like to join in. Great location that is quiet but only a few minutes walk to the centre. Loved the rooftop for a drink or just chill, great view.
My friend and I stayed here for a week, and we both LOVED it! It's PERFECTLY located—on this beautiful alley next to the aqueduct and not far from loads of restaurants and cafes. The place is INCREDIBLY clean and comfortable. Our room was clean and large, and it has lots of storage space. The bed was very comfortable. Two rooms share a bathroom. The area is very quiet. There's a lovely rooftop terrace and a terrific kitchen with a stove, lots of pots and pans, and a coffeemaker. Azael and Arturo are great hosts.
Good use of space, quiet, and comfortable living space meals and hangout. Extremely close to city centre and had a little supermarket just 5 minutes away. Balcony access was great, and host even left us some popsicles in the freezer for the hot afternoons.
Very friendly host, great location close to the historic and very beautiful city centre. Parking was available (300 pesos per day) in a nearby parking lot 2min away. The apartment itself with a beautiful and quiet little garden and well equipped kitchen felt like home from the first minute.
The price value is hard to be. The Hostal is close to the city center (walking distance) and considering that, it is
very quiet. The host Jorge is very friendly and helpful. Coffee and cookies in the morning are certainly a nice bonus.
And the roof terrace provides a great view. The rooms are not luxurious but absolutely sufficient. I had a small sink
in the room, so I could brush my teeth before going to bed! All in all - I can recommend this place!!
The hoatal host was really helpful and accomodating. Easy check-in and great location to explore oaxaca. Coffee supplied was a nice touch. Really nice courtyard. The room was really comfy and spacious for the price and quiet. They also let us stay around after checkout while waiting for our night bus
It was a pleasure staying at Casa Donaji, I highly recommend! The location is a bit further up the hill in the Volcanes district, so you’ll avoid the crowded city center. Elu was a great host, she helped us with getting taxis and the right buses and made awesome hot chocolate! The place has also a really nice terrace and everything was super clean and comfortable. There are some really good and cheap Taquerias nearby, also laundry shops, a pharmacy and small shops are just around the corner.
Quiet, small hostel in the city centre - great location. Owner and staff are very welcoming. Very peaceful and relaxing place to stay, with lots of plants and a couple of cats. Books to borrow, and a chess board. There is a well equipped kitchen, fridge, drinking water, dining table. Free tea and coffee. There is a roof terrace. Showers have hot water. Good wifi. I ended up staying 6 nights. Loved it!
