I'm having great time here. Absolutely great place to rest and immerse yourself into thinking about stuff you want to think. Kitchen for cooking food you like, bicycles, hammocks for chilling, that comfortable chair in the yard under the tree surrounded by quietness...
P.S. haha, that fat cat is amazing

This was a great stay! The AC in the room worked great and the kitchen area has complementary bread from a local bakery! There is a purified water dispenser and utensils! Our room was quite spacious even with three people and the bathroom was just down the hall. The hosts were excellent at communicating and super responsive. They also had tons of recommendations for things to do.

The location of the property was great with lots of cafés, restaurants and sights in 5-10 min walking distance. The room (#12) was great, as it was spacious and had high ceilings and historic charm of the building itself. The host was super responsive and kind, providing us with a fun itinerary and beach recommendations for our stay there, which was very thoughtful.
A good location for a stress-free holiday in George Town, The Georgetown Green Gates is a guest house surrounded by views of the inner courtyard.

Loved the charm of the building while still offering a very comfortable stay. The location was great, quiet street just a short walk away from streetfood, bars and restaurants.

This is a beautiful, spacious villa in a quiet neighbourhood with beautiful views. As digital nomads, we appreciated the space; it was perfect for working. The house was quiet during our stay, and we appreciated the common kitchen and washing machine. Although the room is tiny, it doesn't matter with the shared space the villa provides.
Warm and welcoming guest houses are ideal for travelers who prefer laid-back accommodations with a personal touch. Usually family run, these hosts will provide local recommendations and even optional meals. Guest houses sometimes feature a cozy living room or a garden – and are still cheaper than most regular hotels.
The property is clean and well maintanined. Although it is pretty basic and the building is quite old but the property is cosy. The neighbourhood is quiet despite having MRT construction nearby and quite near to the area we were travelling to (we were travelling to Gelugor).
Booked 9 nights but stayed only 1 night due to poor internet speed and unable to teach online hence led to loss income and cancellation by students Host refused to refund the other 8 nights. Booking company not helping either. Will not go there again
I love this place a lot. It feels like home. The host was friendly too. The place was so squeaky clean. He allowed me to park my car inside the compound. The password for the lock and keys are easy to access and check~out. Will definitely stay there again next time I go Penang.
Host was very accommodating and nice. Rooms were comfortable and as stated. Will recommend and come back again 👍 fully equipped and better than booking a hotel. Very comfortable for a big group
The cleanliness, view, good water pressure. Air-conditioning cools fast. Outside the hotel there are many coffeeshops and street stalls from early morning to afternoon offering cheap and good hawker foods.
I was very lucky to find this place as l arrived in George Town on a weekend when everything was fully booked. Mr. Koh made me most welcome and even came to collect me on his motor-bike after l had caught the wrong bus. The hostel was clean, quiet and comfortable and very good value for money. An added bonus was that it is situated in the midst of a marvellous outdoor food centre, where you can try all sorts of marvellous Penang dishes.
