Very friendly owner who welcomed us onto his property where we could walk where ever we liked. Also invited to socialize with his friends who in turn invited us to visit the next day as we were leaving.

Warm and welcoming guest houses are ideal for travelers who prefer laid-back accommodations with a personal touch. Usually family run, these hosts will provide local recommendations and even optional meals. Guest houses sometimes feature a cozy living room or a garden – and are still cheaper than most regular hotels.
This was a lovely room with ensuite and all things needed to make it a comfortable stay. It was a quiet neighbourhood and close to the Putaruru township for food, shops etc. Very comfortable and warm, a really good shower and fridge for supplies. We had the perfect stopover.
The location seems a little 'out of the way'. Yet, since I have a car found it easy to get to the places I need to be. The truth is that I would not have considered it because of the apparent isolation. The 'Field Days' meant that my choices were very limited. And I'm glad they were. The property was cosy, warm, and private. The bed very comfortable, and the facilities were fine. Even has a Espresso machine! Graeme was a thoughtful and kind host. If I had cause to return to the region would definitely stay again.
Breakfast was continemtal and had everything one could want. Kind hosts had room warm for us as we had to travel a long way and got in late. Nice little touch was free biscuits with our cuppa. We will return and recommend this lovely place to everyone.
Host was really lovely, we turned up a bit early and she showed us through. Was very clean, beds are comfy, shower pressure amazing. Even though its close to the main road its super quiet. We loved everything about it. Thank you so much for having us.
