Nice place to stay in Matosinhos. Our room faced the back and was very quiet, with lots of natural light. It was very clean with a big bathroom and good shower. Checkin and checkout very easy, with good communication from the host. Lots of restaurants nearby. Free parking in the municipal lot behind Burger King.

The check in was easy based on the automated instructions from the host. I got there a bit early and the maid was just finishing my room which was immaculate and very well equipped. I took off a star because scented products were used for cleaning but I was able to air it out by opening both the windows. The location is great and is near the Matosinhos information centre. Also nearby are restaurants and a big grocery store. I definitely recommend.

Pensão Central is in the center of Matosinhos. It is conveniently between the Brito Capelo and Matosinhos Sul Metro Stations, which are both a 5-minute walk away.

I unexpectedly had to shift my stay, my friend had to fly home and the hotel didn’t have to accommodate the change, but they were so kind I couldn’t believe it! I will come back here again and again. Rooms seem recently updated, breakfast room is so handy!

    Luis (the owner) is a great host, charming and a good sense of humour. Nothing is to much trouble. He is always available to offer help and deal with any issues you have. The location is amazing. Close to everything you need. I recommend the coffee shop two blocks down called The Coffee. Amazing!!!! I was actually surprised with the area. It was much nicer than I expected. The hostel itself is cosy and the group of people who were staying here were a good bunch. Polite and engaged in conversation. I would come back!

    Only there for two days, so only used the room as a base. It's a sixth floor flat and very quiet and nice and clean. Was able to leave the motorbike outside at the front without any bother or worry. Great location for buses and metro for access to airport and centre of Porto. both can be reached within about 40 minutes (but leave an hour for the airport). Our host, Elsa was very helpful and gave us a great recommendation for a local fish restaurant (one of many down by the seafront/market).
