We have never had such a well-cared for breakfast! Even though we were the only guests so late in the year, the breakfast table was super deliciously filled and very extensive. We tasted everything, it was more than great! The rooms are cozy and the house feels good. We could even change our room choice if we wanted, but our room was already perfect. The garden is a zone of peace, really wonderful to recharge from our day of travel! Really a small paradise, with a friendly hostess Ruth who pays attention to detail.

Part of me wants to keep this hidden gem a secret for my future visits...
A gravel path winds up to the house, perched on a hilltop with sweeping views of the surrounding landscape. While I could praise the comfortable beds, spotless rooms, delicious breakfast and comprehensive amenities, what truly sets this guesthouse apart are its hosts, Koenraad and Kristoff. Their dedication to their guests is unparalleled.
A word of advice for planning your trip to southern Portugal: while we initially booked for two nights, the magic of Monte da Silveira and its hosts compelled us to extend our stay to a full week.
Offering free WiFi access and a flat-screen TV in each private room, Alojamentos Vitinho - Vila Nova Milfontes is located in Vila Nova de Milfontes, 800 metres from the centre.

Very friendly lady at the reception to welcome us, decent room with small, simple kitchen and fridge, private bathroom and a nice little patio. We stayed here during our hike on Fisherman's Trail, and found it had what we needed.

The staff were exceptionally helpful, offering suggestions on where to eat and places to visit in the way back to Lisbon
Warm and welcoming guest houses are ideal for travellers who prefer unfussy accommodation with a personal touch. They are usually family-run, and your host will provide local recommendations and optional meals. Often cheaper than regular hotels, guest houses can also feature a cosy living room and a garden.
This was a lovely place, right in town but very quiet and secluded. The room was fine and the host was lovely. Breakfast was terrific and included warm pasteis de nata!
we enjoyed everything, from the key locker check-in, to the honesty bar beer on the sun terrace, the style of the house and the room, to the excellent breakfast and the great host Cláudia.
Everything was excellent and Alice is the best host on planet earth. Super friendly, amazing breakfast, outstanding location (much better than all 5* hotels we had prior to this boutique place). I tend to say I don‘t recommend it because otherwise it‘s always fully booked when we want to return ;-) …a must visit when traveling through Portugal and definitely worthwhile to stay more fhan just 1 night because there is so many things to do in the area
This is a very “boutique” guesthouse with large clean rooms and an excellent breakfast and would be fine for young energetic travelers capable of carrying their luggage up steep cobblestone walkways culminating in 34 stairs to reach their room. As an elderly disabled person, the access was awful and booking.com should clearly flag Casa da Umbria as unsuitable for the elderly or disabled.
