Hosts were very kind and gave great recommendations on where to camp and even provided the opportunity to buy firewood. Breakfast was great and the place had a really cozy vibe with great view of the ski resort.
Warm and welcoming guest houses are ideal for travelers who prefer laid-back accommodations with a personal touch. Usually family run, these hosts will provide local recommendations and even optional meals. Guest houses sometimes feature a cozy living room or a garden – and are still cheaper than most regular hotels.
We came to Salen for skiing in Klappen. The location was great for this. It is 5-10 min. away. And there were trails closeby for country skiing. There is also a place nearby for renting the skiing equipment which is way cheaper rather than renting them from the ski resort. The place is very cozy, the rooms are warm. Also Göran was a very welcoming and hospitable host. It was great talking to you and learning about the area. It was a pleasent stay. :)
The hosts are super nice and friendly. The whole place is sparkling clean including the showers and toilets and is really well maintained as well as cosy with all the decorations. Located in a super quiet area.
Breakfast consists of different types of bread, cooked eggs, cheese, salami, jam, vegetables, yogurt, musli, cornflakes, coffee and tea.
Being able to check in after 11pm was a huge help.
The location is great for snow and Ice activity nearby and is convenient since it's not far from the main road but quite enough for buzzing and traffic—good value for money. Friendly host with certain flexibility.
Excellent stay, very warm welcome from the host, shared kitchen very well equipped and cosy. Great breakfast in the morning. I couldn’t expect more.
