This little appartment met all our needs. Located in a very quiet area, only 15 mins walk from the centre. The kitchenette was well equipped so was the bathroom. Dolce Gusto coffee machine with few coffee pods was a bonus! Instructions how to access the property were clear and sent ahead of arrival. The only thing we didn't like was the bunk bed but perhaps I missed it from the description at the time of booking - it wasn't the end of the world :)

This is a hotel (cum hostel) I happily return to each year: very helpful staff, lovely rooms (including a very good bathroom, kettle etc.), excellent location (next to the river), a nice communal room downstairs. The taxi pick up point is close by.

Fine, but a bit basic. The mattresses were sagging in the middle - v uncomfortable. The towels were more like oversized tea towels, thin and fraying around the edges. Shower gel was provided, but the hand soap had not been refilled when we arrived. We had a room overlooking the river, which had a lovely view but we hadn’t appreciated how noisy it would be. There’s a bar opposite that was playing loud music until midnight, and then the bins outside were collected at 6:30 in the morning. It’s right on the edge of the pedestrianised zone, so really near a main road. If you close the windows it blocks out the noise, but it’s v hot. A fan is provided, but it’s equally as noisy. Check in and out were easy and convenient.

A historic building in the centre of Ljubljana, the Penzion Pod Lipo is only 5-minute walk away from the Roman Wall and the Drama Theatre. It offers free Wi-Fi and a shared terrace.
