We had a pleasant stay overall. The bed was large and very comfortable, and the room was spotlessly clean. A welcome drink on arrival was a nice touch, and the location is great—just a short walk from the town centre. We also appreciated that an iron was provided promptly upon request.
However, we did encounter a few disappointments. The television in our room had issues: we were unable to change the channels or turn it off. Despite asking three times for assistance, the problem was never resolved, which meant the screen remained on throughout our entire stay, even at night. We had to cover it with blankets just to get some sleep.
Another letdown was the hotel’s “wellness and spa” branding. While the name suggests spa facilities are part of the hotel experience, the spa is actually run separately. Guests must book directly with them, and surprisingly, there is no discount or added benefit for those staying at the hotel.
Overall, while the stay had its comforts, some aspects were disappointing and not as advertised.
