This is our 3rd. stay at the Penzion Hoffer. The hotel is situated a little outside of Nitra in a very nice location with views over the hills and the city of Nitra. There is a golf course near by and a little zoo on site. The building was recently partly updated and the rooms are big and simple furnished. Our room had A/C and here lies the only problem: We did arrive on one of the hottest days this year and had to turn on the A/C in our room after arrival. It took hours to make the room cool enough for us to be able to use it. Also, there is NO A/C in the public areas and the restaurant (which by the way has a great variety on the menu and excellent reasonable priced food). Unfortunately, we have been unable to use it this time because of the unbearable heat inside the restaurant. We absolutely recommend Penzion Hoffer (if you stay there outside the hot summer season).
