Dar El Kasba Bizerte enjoys a location in Bizerte, a 2-minute walk from Bizerte Beach and 23 miles from Ichkeul Lake & Park. This guest house provides a shared lounge.
Warm and welcoming guest houses are ideal for travelers who prefer laid-back accommodations with a personal touch. Usually family run, these hosts will provide local recommendations and even optional meals. Guest houses sometimes feature a cozy living room or a garden – and are still cheaper than most regular hotels.
The host contacted me one day before the arrival and wanted double the price that what is on Booking.com, when I tried to make a deal with them, they told me it’s not available anymore.
The apartment was very clean and tidy. It's in a nice area with lots of shops and cafes. The host Hisham was super welcoming and spoke perfect english and even drove me to Tunis in his comfortable air- conditioned car.
Situated in an old typical building, Dar el Kasba gives one an idea about life of real people in the medina, with all its smells and sounds - which I found quite pleasant. While it is not very easy to spot the house at the arrival, once you get used to the narrow alleys in the Old City all becomes simple and even interesting. My room and bathroom were extremely clean, and all facilities functioned perfectly. The breakfast was not very immaginative, but sufficient and tasty. The hosts were extremely nice and helpful.
It was such a lovely experience living with a family. REGNA our host was always available to answer all my many questions . My room was comfortable and quiet and dark at night. Important requirements when travelling and rarely available. The Dar is situated in a delightful part of the medina and at the end of several days you feel a part of this friendly community. Especially going to the Hamman . The Dar is extremely well situated being only minutes from all the major sights . The Old Port The beach Town centre. Restaurants cafe etc
The apartment is located in the quiet neighbourhood of City. The apartment seems new and it’s well decorated with portraits and pictures of London sights on its walls . It has everything that a couple or small family needed.Host Hichem is great guy with good command over English . So feel free to get in touch with him .
This is a fantastic guesthouse in the middle of a tiny, magical medina. You will be the only guest(s) there, as there is just a single room in the guesthouse. It's located on the top of the place, so you will have a lot of peace and quiet there if that's what you're looking for. It's also wonderfully decorated, furnished with attention to detail, breakfasts are very tasty and the host is pleasant and friendly but not intruding. An easy 10 out of 10 for me!
Can only confirm the other reviews : great hosts (waited for our rather late arrival and picked us up from our taxi in front of the walls of medina to lead us through the small allies of old town late evening) Small but very cozy room with beautiful design. Wonderful manison with lots of classic furniture. Wonderful breakfast in the atmosphere of this classic house. A real highlight among the various accomodations we had during 4 weeks of travel through Tunisia.
