United StatesThe location was great; very close to Acadia National Park which was why we wanted to be in Bar Harbor. It was a short walk to restaurants and shops downtown which was great. The breakfast was good.

I stayed there on Christmas Eve, and was able to walk the Coastal Path twice, and a short walk, about 2.5 blocks, brought me past two churches preparing for evening services, to a charming boutique, Sagegrass Gallery, that was open, and the town itself, with its window fronts so creatively adorned for the season. The room had everything designed for comfort, convenience, and cleanliness. I especially liked the modern bathroom heating. I loved that there was a kettle to make a cup of tea! So many other places just had a coffee machine and I don't drink coffee. It was great to be able to sit on the porch or outside at the picnic table and sea the ocean in the distance. We were in cottage number 1, right on the road but there was no noise at all.
