It's a very special, a kind magical place. The house ist surrounded by beautiful garden. So we were really invited to relaxe. The whole interior of the apartment is very fantastic, many small wonderful details. We enjoyed a fine selected variety of books in Hawaiian culture and nature. The contact to the owner was really nice and interesting.

in the middle of local neighborhood and it is a small farm, very cool. Great open space to stargaze, 10 min from the beaches where sunrise can be viewed.

Warm and welcoming guest houses are ideal for travellers who prefer unfussy accommodation with a personal touch. They are usually family-run, and your host will provide local recommendations and optional meals. Often cheaper than regular hotels, guest houses can also feature a cosy living room and a garden.
This place is such a steal! The host is super nice and goes above and beyond with their service. We can pick fresh fruits from the surrounding fruit trees! Although we don't have time to pick them ourselves, the host has picked them for us!! Plus, there's a pool, an awesome spot to check out the sea view, and a BBQ grill. Totally loved it!
Beautiful and welcoming queer retreat with top-notch facilities and an amazing garden. The Garden Oasis room is a gorgeous screened-in terrace, the perfect place to dream with the vibrant sounds and scents of the rainforest all around you. Two inner guestrooms are also available if you prefer a dryer and quieter experience. We enjoyed socializing with the friendly host and other guests in the shared areas, and heard great things about the weekly gay BBQ event on Mondays.
This place is a little paradise and Abbie the host is adorable, flexible and very helpful! We loved being able to relax and have breakfast in the mornings in the veranda, which is protected by a mosquito net. This gem is surrounded by lush green Nature and is quiet and very peaceful. Very well furnished - had everything we needed. Hope to be back one day!
Location: So close to beach, hilo and vulcano national park

Super spacious room with comfortable double bed
Very friendly owner
Least expensive private room on the whole island, maybe even in whole of state hawaii
Kitchen fully equipped, Restrooms nice
Nice sitting area outside, and hanging around makes fun too, super quiet to sleep. My favorite Hostel from now on, i would call the whole area with private rooms more like HOTEL instead of HOSTEL
It was a great experience. The hotel is less then one hour far from the volcano national park and 20 min from Hilo. It's located in the forest and Irene is a great host. She gave us a lot of info, shared her experience in the island and helped giving us some rain jackets that we forgot. She is really adorable and I can only recommend to visit this place especially if u need to disconnect from your daily life. She even showed us her ukulele collection and prepared for us the fruit from her garden.
A beautiful bungalow in a quiet street in Pahoa. Perfect for a solo or couple to relax and recharge.
I felt extremely safe, and Abbie was a very welcoming and kind host.
The bed was comfortable, the kitchenette and bathroom had everything I needed, and the place was well stocked and clean.
The lanai was my favourite and I spent many hours reading and relaxing out there.
