    The Cottage is absolutely charming. Very spacious and beautifully decorated. A wonderful fireplace, which was lit by Teri, the host, before our arrival. Homemade salt sticks as well as olives and tapenade were put there for us to enjoy!

    On the farm & in the country , good South African Hospitality, great fire place , Helena & Kobus great hosts , wine estate , majestic valley and mountains in the fruit tree plantation and wine vineyards, on the Barrydale MTB track , beautiful gardens , and close to wine tasting of Joubert Tradauw, close to Barrydale and on Route 62.

    Our friendly host communicated clearly and timeously. She clearly has put thought into every detail: The apartment is furnished with care and consideration, and the space is welcoming and comfortable. Birdsong's setting in the charming village of Barrydale makes it ideal for a country escape within relatively easy reach of Cape Town. We found the experience restorative and relaxing, yet there is lots to do and see in the vicinity, whether you're exploring on foot or cycling, or taking trips further out by car.

    Location ideal. Close to all amenities the town has to offer. Quaint and attention to detail, cleanliness and load shedding UPS. A quiet getaway and very attentive hosts. What I did enjoy was no TV and pure quietness. Nightime chocolate, port, coffee and rusks.

    Great location that affords both privacy but also easy access to main street and the roads in and out of Barrydale The room was clean and well-furnished which was great to come to after a long day's drive. Bertus is a great host who works hard to ensure guests are well taken care of.
