Parker Cottage was the perfect place to stay while in Cape Town. The staff is so kind and accommodating. We immediately felt at home. Our room was comfortable and met all our needs. The breakfasts were incredible. We were not expecting the level of charm and graciousness. The location was perfect walking distance for many delicious restaurants. We could not have loved our stay more.

Suite was immaculate, comfortable facilities, friendly staff, and very good breakfast, the eggs Benedict were done perfectly.
Warm and welcoming guest houses are ideal for travelers who prefer laid-back accommodations with a personal touch. Usually family run, these hosts will provide local recommendations and even optional meals. Guest houses sometimes feature a cozy living room or a garden – and are still cheaper than most regular hotels.
Great location - within walking distance of some tourist attractions. Safe and quiet neighbourhood. Batsi was a great host. The place was very homely. I would visit again. Highly recommended!
Fantastic guest house in a great location which is ideal for exploring the Cape. The hosts Michael and Jeanne are terrific and are extremely helpful with great local guidance. Breakfast was a real treat - most of the food is either local or home made (bread and yoghurt). Jeanne also bakes a 'treat of he day' which is always delicious.
Our room (202) was excellent - large bedroom with a terrace facing the sea. The property is in a cul-de-sac and so it is very quiet.
Highly Recommended
Loved our stay at the Tintagel Guest house. Big comfortable bedrooms, immaculately clean. Wonderful hosts, friendly and helpful, they happily arranged dinner reservations for us. Lovely breakfast, outside in the courtyard on good days, inside when it became windy. Secure off road parking. Great location, close to Kloof Street, Long Street and an easy drive or inexpensive taxi to all the main city centre attractions and the Table Mountain Cable Car station.
Lovely guesthouse with very friendly and helpful hosts. Comfortable, clean and charming property. Good location walking distance to city centre. Thoroughly recommend !
The guesthouse is warm, inviting and quite spacious. It hosts everything (amenities) you could possibly need for a trip away from home. The outside area was great for a morning cuppa and some quiet time, making for a peaceful transition into a busy day. In addition to the wonderful space, Trevor and Glenda were such great hosts, transparent and accommodating to our needs before and during our stay.
Lovely and well appointed establishment. Excellent location to city centre and surrounding attractions, while close to airport in terms of driving time. Corinne was an outstanding host and gave us the full run down of the accommodation and facilities and took us on a tour of the house and garden making us well acquainted with everything. House is large and spacious with plenty of space for privacy and decor very tasteful and elegant. Well maintained property. Quiet neighbourhood. Definitely will return when next in Cape Town.
Cheviot Place is a great place in a very quiet neighborhood. The house is very charming and you can walk to places like the Waterfront or Green Point Park. There are a large number of restaurants within a 10 minute walk. On the other hand, James is a great host and has given us many good tips for restaurants, excursions, etc. In summary, Cheviot Place is a highly recommended place to spend a few quiet days in Cape Town in a family atmosphere that makes you feel at home.
Everything. Ian was a great host while the location of the apartment in Waterkant neighbourhood is just stunning. Quiet, historic, and very close to the vibrant city centre & night life.
I stayed at 10 different guest houses during my trip in South Africa and Maartens Guesthouse is definitely my favourite! His warm personality, wicked sense of humour and attention to detail really makes us feel at home. He’s not only a great host but also a very kind friend. Thank you for having us!
Great location in a quiet area, ideal for the airport, city and other destinations. Very relaxed, non-pretentious guest house. Excellent cooked breakfast, the 'kitchen sink' omelette is specially recommended. Kevin and Hermann were very welcoming and great hosts.
