Warm and welcoming guest houses are ideal for travelers who prefer laid-back accommodations with a personal touch. Usually family run, these hosts will provide local recommendations and even optional meals. Guest houses sometimes feature a cozy living room or a garden – and are still cheaper than most regular hotels.
It was exceptionally comfortable with a fireplace and a pleasant setup. If I did not have other commitments I would have liked to stay longer. Kind and friendly host, Mariette. Will definately return in future
Rondebossie was fantastic. Communication prior to arrival was great. The cottage is very cozy and inviting. Kitchen has everything one needs; bathroom has a great shower and a bathtub. Everything very clean. Very comfortable bed plus sofa bed plus other tables and chairs to sit at and on, both inside and outside. Mariette is a very kind host. Rondebossie is equally close to the quaint town of Haenertsburg as it is to hiking trails, dams to swim in, Debengeni Waterfall etc.
Loved the location, breathtaking views of the forest, garden and the lake. Also love the themed room and the breakfast area overlooking the lake. It was so relaxing and peaceful, exactly what my husband and I needed away from the kids and Jozi buzz.
The guest manager, Vuyo, was such a great host, so warm and welcoming, and always available to assist and make you feel at home.
Perfect for a solo retreat, quiet and minimal interaction with the host. The unit was clean and fresh. The place is so peaceful and I felt very safe. I'm definitely going back
Beautiful and practical unit, with the most magnificent views. Quiet and peaceful surroundings, and the hosts were considerate and friendly. Comfortable bed and a nice fireplace made for a cosy evening despite the cold weather. The lovely big walk-in shower was fabulous, and the fact that they are totally off the grid meant that Load shedding was not a factor at all. The bird life in the area is amazing. The dinner pre-booked at the restaurant on site was exceptional, and well worth the cost. We felt pampered and well cared for in every way.
