We picked it because it looked to be a bit off the beaten path and quieter, and it certainly delivered on that. The location was stunning and absolutely perfect for hiking - it sits right next to a smaller trail up one of the mountains, and a short (10mins) walk to the Valbona - Theth trailhead. The rooms were very well fitted, clean and comfortable. The host was extremely attentive and helpful, going above and beyond to ensure we were taken care of during the stay and in helping me retrieve a lost item after. Would highly recommend.

We were coming from Kosovo on the way to Tirana and decided to experience rural Albania like the locals. Staying in the middle of the mountains, while enjoying a traditional dinner and breakfast really hit the spot. We were in touch with Jona after our booking confirmation, and as we were coming with public transport she arranged for her dad to come pick us up in Kukës for a reasonable fee. The ride through the mountains was already worth it! Jona's mother prepared us dinner and breakfast, which can be arranged in advance, and this was the perfect opportunity to try some fresh milk from the cow :) Pro tip: if you come early enough, you can apparently hike to a nearby river, about an hour away. We arrived in the evening and it was already dark, but will definitely come back earlier next time. The rooms and bathrooms were very clean, everything was working properly (including WiFi and hot water!) Thanks to Jona, Dul and Mine for taking such good care of us, we will see you again!

This place is a great spot to stay if you are doing the Valbone Theth hike. The room was great, the food was amazing and the staff were the best ever. We had a wonderful time here and would definitely come back!

Beautiful location away from the main road and lovely gardens to sit and eat and enjoy the mountain views. Food is very good and the two brothers are attentive, speak good english and can organise transport to any location within the valley. Highly recommend.
