The spacious rooms at Gasthaus zum Kreuz are non-smoking. All feature wooden furniture, cable TV, and a bathroom. The one staff member was very helpful and quite a servant! The room and the bed were large and comfortable. Don't be turned off by the fact that it's far from Luzern; a busstop is right next to the hotel (literally) and is only about 15 mins into town where it also stops by the train station. You don't have to walk much at all given this. We really enjoyed the sit down breakfast that was included! Selection may have been smaller than some hotels I had been to, but it was clearly more fresh and "homey" than other places.

The stylish Wanderlust Guesthouse is located in Weggis, 200 metres form the lake and at the foot of the Rigi mountain. Free Wi-Fi is featured throughout the property. Lucerne is a 30-minute drive away. Scandinavian style of relative minimalism with lots of elegance and thought put in it. Very clean and neat, wonderfully equipped common kitchen available to guests. Very nice chill area with books. Seem it's also kids-friendly. And again, very clean! This place was a little jem we didn't expect to discover and would love to go back. The only minus is the bunk beds, or it's actually a plus, depending on personal preference.

Pasta dishes, pizza and risotto are served at Ristorante Schlössli. Homemade desserts include tiramisu, panna cotta with blueberries and chocolate mousse. We loved everything about our stay and wished we had booked for longer. People were welcoming and friendly. Accommodation was amazing. There's lots to see and the church is a must!

The staff at the hotel was very kind and accommodating of our needs, they were super attentive and friendly. The restaurant had a good set of options for dinner. The room was super for 2 adults and a kid (could be good for 2 kids too), everything was great, we really appreciate the personal service and would definitely go back!
