A really lovely guest house with decor to match. Carlos is extremely friendly and helpful in all respects. Breakfast at 6am was not a problem ! Allowing us to leave our luggage well before check-in time was really helpful as well. Being only 6km from Puerto Natales meant that we enjoyed the peace and quiet from the location, but also within walking distance from town to stretch the legs a bit. Fabien is perhaps the friendliest and most welcoming host you will ever meet. Picked us up from the bus station after a late arrival. Dropped us in town early morning for a tour. Gave us excellent advice and recommendations for around town. Sad we couldn't stay longer.

Hostal Fernando de Magalhaes offers accommodation in the district of Cerro de la Cruz in Punta Arenas. All rooms are fitted with a flat-screen TV with cable channels. Arturo is a wonderful host. Extremely responsive, informative, affable. A true delight.

We left couple of our things that we didn't need for adventures at this place before our stay for almost a week. The host kept them safe and we found them in our room when we checked in late at night. The breakfast was amazing - the host made fresh hot sandwiches with some pancakes (another option was eggs). We also used laudry service. Facilities are clean and well maintained. Highly recommend!

This is the place to stay in Porvenir! It is a lovely old building with great character. The host was very welcoming. It was New Year's Day and all the restaurants were closed. He made us lovely cheese and ham toasties and even gave me a bottle of beer! The breakfast was very good and nice and early as we needed to get to the Parque Penguino Rey by 10:00 am. An interesting detail is that his Father wrote the famous "Birds of Chile" book which you find everywhere, usually in Spanish. There is plenty of parking on the street outside.
