Good location in town, 5-10min walk to restaurants, stores and the port. The terrace was my favorite place, incredible view on the Amazon river, great place to relax and chill. Israel and his sister Mercedes were very nice to me, Naider arranged my tours with local guides (Diego was superb) at reasonable local price, tours were fantastic,

We took few of the excursions offered by La Ceiba, again, really thoroughly enjoyed the guides and what they showed us. We had excellent meals every day. This was our second time in Mocagua, would not hesitate to come back again.

Probably the best hostel in the entire Amazon! Not only are the owners and their entire family extremely kind and helpful, the food is also amazing and they are the only place in Macedonia (the village) with uninterrupted electricity and high speed internet thanks to solar panels and Starlink (satellite internet). I got quite a bit of work done during my stay and was also able to relax. The hostel is located at the edge of the village (about 5 min walking from where you arrive by boat), which means that it's very quiet and peaceful.

The community is beautiful and very peaceful, and the house is lovely, with great spots for relaxing and delicious homecooked food. The activities are really varied and interesting and German will happily build you an itinerary based off what you want to do. Staying a night in the jungle is an absolute must - our guide Matú was very competent, knowledgeable, and kind. The prices are also super low, and yet this was one of the most special holidays we've ever had. We had such an insanely wonderful time staying here, I cannot recommend it enough!!
