The Best Adventure Hostel is a recently renovated guest house in San Gil, where guests can make the most of its garden and barbecue facilities. This guest house also has a rooftop pool. Everything was just amazing! The staff is super friendly and helpful (they booked bustickets and activities for us). The owner Darío is also really nice and on Friday we received a salsa lesson from his wife, which was a lot of fun! The pool is great for the hot days. The shower also gets really hot (you don’t know how much you miss hot showers until you don’t have them available anymore) and everything is spotless clean. The location is amazing as well, everything is around the corner.

Featuring a garden and views of city, Real Dream Hostel is a recently renovated guest house located in San Gil, 42 km from Chicamocha National Park. My stay there was excellent! I even stayed longer than intended. The hosts are super helpful, were ready to give a hand with everything - from booking different activities to helping with the bus. The hostel is super clean, you can cook food in the kitchen which is also kept clean all the time. They can give you some nice cheap food recommendations

The price is outstanding. The staff were amazing and did everything they could to help you and make your stay as comfortable as possible. The two hostels (affiliated) were both well maintained and one of them had a nice pool and rooftop area. Between the two there is plenty of space to relax. There was always a spare bathroom, all of which were a great size. Tours and activities can be booked from the hostel, making it really easy. There were not a lot of people at this hostel when I was there so it felt very homely, I’m not sure how this would change if every bed was taken. Very affordable laundry options available. Overall, potentially the best hostel I’ve stayed at on my South America trip.
