First time staying in Edinbrugh, had my friend showing me around the place and we found this guest house by chance. First off all the couple who runs the place are so lovely and attentive to customers. Very clean and breakfast included brought to your room. We did have a little gas leak incident but it was quickly fixed in a matter of hours, keeping us very informed on the situation which we very much appreciated! It is on the quieter side of you like it quiet and not in the city, perfect place to stay!

Absolutely loved the Lauderville guest house. Host was incredible and nothing was too much to ask. The four poster room was incredibly cosy and the perfect setting for our Christmas break.

Housed in a historic building, the recently renovated Straven Guesthouse provides accommodation with a shared lounge and free WiFi. It was an amazing experience to stay at Straven Guesthouse. I felt at home, the bed was very comfortable and the room was beautiful and warm. Breakfast was a whole variety of delicious dishes, home made and beautiful. The sea front is only a few steps away and I enjoyed walking along the sea promenade to the cafés - and walking along the sea shore. I felt looked after and cared for by Sinead and Chris.
