The guest house has just completed a total renovation. Everything is fresh and brand new. Lots of thought has gone into preparing the house as a guest house. The kitchen is very well equiped pus there are two dinning areas, so lots of space. The lounge is cosy with new sofas. Washer and dryer, both high end. 5 rooms, 2 shared bathrooms and a seperate toilet downstairs. We highly recommend this guest house, one of the best. (Plus its so close to the waterfall and canyon, bonus)

Ekstremt venlig og hjælpsom vært, som lod mig blive på værelset til klokken 12 grundet sen ankomst om natten. Dejligt sted i fredelige omgivelser og meget tæt på Svartifoss. Hele området stråler af liv, og der er ligeledes både hunde og katte på overnatningsstedet - hvilket er dejligt, efter min mening.

Hjartarstaðir Guesthouse har udsigt til floden, gratis wi-fi og gratis privat parkering og ligger i Eiðar, 37 km fra Gufu Waterfall. It was quiet location. Room was big enough, kitchen was well equipped with all what we needed. Room was super clean. Check in and check out very easy.

During our Icelandic journey, we had the pleasure of staying at Við Lónið Guesthouse in Seyðisfjörður, a town renowned for its rich history and picturesque landscapes. The guesthouse, housed in a building constructed in 1907 and imported from Norway, exudes historical charm, having previously served as a clothing and convenience store, art studio, and café. Our room was a testament to Scandinavian minimalist design, featuring original wood furnishings that added warmth and authenticity. The private bathroom was well-appointed with a walk-in shower and complimentary toiletries. The highlight was the balcony, offering breathtaking views of the fjord and surrounding mountains, providing a serene backdrop to our stay. The guesthouse’s central location proved advantageous, with Seyðisfjörður Harbour and the iconic Blue Church just a short stroll away, making it an excellent base for exploring local attractions. The self-check-in process was seamless, allowing us to settle in without delay. Adding to the charm of our stay was a local cat that seemed to own the street. This regal feline often caught the attention of tourists, adding a unique and endearing touch to our experience.

Lagarfell Studios ligger i Egilsstaðir, 37 km fra Hengifoss, og har en have, en terrasse og gratis privat parkering. Overnatningsstedet er røgfrit og ligger 26 km fra Gufu Waterfall. Everything you need for short stay around Egilsstadir. Just note that it is not actually in the city but rather outside. But after speding all th day hiking it is an excellent place to relax and sleep. Also possibilty to watch aurora light from this place are just frew steps away since there are not so many lights around. And you can get nice pastry for breakfast just across the street!

An eye for the detail! Heated floors in the bathroom, soap and handcream, sweets for the guests on the bed and a very warm and welcoming loving room and kitchen. The view from the room we were in was also just relaxing and romantic with two chairs amongst a tree overlooking rhetorical valley.

Lovely, comfortable guest house in a beautiful town on the Eastfjords. We went in November so the weather was a little wild, but the road to the town was clear. The town is full of beautiful art, gorgeous scenery, and nature! The room was great!
