Situated in Nikaho, within 1.6 km of Kisakata Harbor and 7.6 km of Konoura Harbor, やまおう 宿＆カフェ features accommodation with a garden as well as free private parking for guests who drive. The host was special. A kind soul like him can make everything right, and beyond that everything was on point. Amazing stay!

ミロクハウス, a property with a garden, is situated in Daisen, 10 km from Omagari Station, 22 km from Kakunodate Station, as well as 41 km from Tazawako Station. Very clean, friendly place. Visited Akita for the Kanto Festival in Akita city. It is about 1 hour drive but was no stress. The town of Misato is famous for spring water and amazing sake.

Great space in the house, multiple rooms on the ground floor including the kitchen, everything is neat and clean. Koh-san always goes above and beyond: this time, he helped us buy tickets for a performance (which required research and dedication!), and also with a hotel reservation needing phone calls. Thank you so much for all your help, and we hope to be back again one winter -- Akita is our favorite prefecture!

みんなの実家門脇家 provides a hot tub and free private parking, and is within 10 km of Akita Station and 14 km of Omoriyama Zoo. Its a nice, calm corner in the outskirts of town. perfect for getting away from the big city. The owner and his family are more than friendly and accomodating, would recommend.

Set 8.4 km from Nyuto Hot Spring, Hotel Radish House offers 1-star accommodation in Senboku and features a garden. A hot tub is available for guests. The breakfast and dinner were excellent - well rounded and nutritionally balanced meals. The bathrooms and rooms were very clean and comfortable. Since it was off season, we had the place to ourselves. It was a relaxing experience.

Kakunodate Guest House Choux er staðsett í Senboku, 38 km frá Nyuto-hverunum og býður upp á gistirými með garði, ókeypis einkabílastæði og sameiginlegri setustofu. Best pillow among the hostels I've stay at so far! But more importantly the owners are very kind and generous and their lovely daughter likes to be social :) Shame not to spend more time in the area. Great to have a bar to hang your clothes/coat up!

Minpaku AMBO - Friendly share house - er með fjallaútsýni, ókeypis WiFi og ókeypis einkabílastæði. Það er staðsett í Kazuno, 40 km frá Towada-vatni. The host was amazing. Places like this are great for solo travelers wanting to meet people and talk, get advice from the host.

Hostel&Bar CAMOSIBA er staðsett í Yokote, í 33 km fjarlægð frá Omagari-stöðinni og býður upp á gistirými með aðgangi að garði, bar og sameiginlegu eldhúsi. The staff were extra friendly and the bar next to the hostel really adds to the experience. The room was comfortable.

Situated just 38 km from Nyuto Hot Spring, サムライストリートハウス武家屋敷通り offers accommodation in Daisen with access to free bikes, a garden, as well as a shared kitchen. Authentic place, friendly host, great bathtub and very good location in the ancient samurai district, walking distance from the train station 20-25 minutes

HACHI er staðsett í Odate á Akita-svæðinu og er með svalir og garðútsýni. Meðal aðstöðu á gististaðnum er sameiginlegt eldhús og öryggisgæsla allan daginn ásamt ókeypis WiFi hvarvetna. It’s a beautiful old house of the Showa era, and it gives a real feeling for the culture of that time. It also has a few entirely modern conveniences which we were less interested in :-) but for people like us who really are interested in the Japan of the mid 20th century, it’s an absolutely delightful stay
