Visited Akita for the Kanto Festival in Akita city. It is about 1 hour drive but was no stress. The town of Misato is famous for spring water and amazing sake.

The house is really nice, we slept on japanes futons in a traditional Japanese room, which was really pretty! We could use all the rooms on the ground floor, including TV, couch and kitchen, which was nice!

Its a nice, calm corner in the outskirts of town. perfect for getting away from the big city. The owner and his family are more than friendly and accomodating, would recommend.

Best pillow among the hostels I've stay at so far! But more importantly the owners are very kind and generous and their lovely daughter likes to be social :) Shame not to spend more time in the area. Great to have a bar to hang your clothes/coat up!

Nastanitev HACHI se nahaja v Odatu in ponuja vrt, skupni prostor za druženje ter teraso, na voljo pa je tudi brezplačen WiFi v celotni nastanitvi. It’s a beautiful old house of the Showa era, and it gives a real feeling for the culture of that time. It also has a few entirely modern conveniences which we were less interested in :-) but for people like us who really are interested in the Japan of the mid 20th century, it’s an absolutely delightful stay
