The location is great, 10 minute walk to the ferry terminal, which I used quite often as I used Ishigaki mainly as a hub between the other islands. There are also lots of eating and drinking spots in walking distance, plus some convenience stores and a supermarket. Kishaba the owner was very kind and helpfull and even took me on a mango picking tour (only during mango season). The room was great and during the time of day when you’re usually at the hostel the aircon is free so it’s quite the relief from the heat when you get back. The shower facilities were nice and clean and the washing machine and dryer were quick and efficient. Overall I had a great stay and if I come back to Ishigaki I will definitely stay here again.

I've never felt more at home at any accomodation honestly, everything was clean, the owners are super nice, the house and the location are amazing, and the price is very affordable. Every evening the owners and guests get together for dinner and drinks, which is really fun. The staff speaks enough English that it is not a problem to stay there with no Japanese knowledge at all, but depending on the guests the conversation in the evening may be in Japanese.

Nice staff and a very warm-hearted owner who is eager to help the guests. Open-air rooftop where you can feel the cool breeze. Offer everything with kitchen and bathroom stuff. Just bring your towel and a happy attitude. I took the buses from the beach to the other beach. I didn't bring an International driver's license, so no car for me. I could rent an electric bike, but I would rather sit on the air-conditioning buses. All the beaches in Miyako Jima are good, so taking buses close to any beach was not a problem. And this hostel is very close to the bus stop which goes to the airport also. Google map bus schedule is up to date, so you can trust that and just give and take 5-7min. I will miss this place for sure. I attached the food photo which the owner cooked for the guest that he caught on that day and the beach is 25 min walk from the hostel.

The host was very kind, helpful and fast to reply. The communication was excellent. The breakfast was delicious. The room is very charming and relaxing. The welcoming foot bath had a very nice smell and was very much appreciated. I would love to come back!!!

There was lots of information available in the living room including ferry timetables and restaurant recommendations. The snorkel tour was outstanding. Our hosts were very knowledgeable.

It is a very nice place, and the owners are really nice and helpful. There was exceptionally good service. The view over the ocean from the room is amazing and it was nice to be able to sit and relax on the balcony with the view. The room has wat one need - bed, TV, kettle, fridge, and microwave.

Lovely, warm and comfortable accommodation. It is extremely clean and the bed was super comfy, staff were friendly and helpful. Location calm and peaceful.

Guesthome Machiya Koza nabízí pokoje v destinaci Okinawa. Jen 8,2 km odtud se nachází Hrad Nakagusuku a Pevnost Kacuren gusuku je 8,7 km daleko. I really enjoyed my stay in this hotel. The rooms are great. The airconditioner was especially usefull to have beacuse of the hot weather. The owner is really nice and helpful. I highly recommend this stay❤️
