The location is excellent for exploring the area by foot or by car. Central to two of the main UNESCO Heritage Sites, Suganuma and Ainokura villages! The food was healthy and delicious and they used a lot of their own produce. The lounge is also a great place to relax after a day of exploring. Highly recommend.

They have snow boots and sleds you can borrow if you go in the winter. The space was warm and comfortable and the meals were incredibly delicious and thoughtful. We had a lovely one night stay in the adorable town of Ainokura.
