I usually sleep in a tent or on a bench at a roadside station. But this time, I decided to stay in this Guesthouse Iwase to rest after my hike to Mt. Tsuguri-dake. I'm very pleased that I stayed in this wonderful place. The guesthouse owner is very friendly and caring. Right from the beginning, he showed and told me everything. The guesthouse has a very comfortable living room, a very clean shower, and a quiet shared room with 4 beds. The air conditioning prevents me from experiencing the heat outside. Due to the rain, the guesthouse owner offered to store my bicycle at the entrance, for which I am very grateful. I was able to ride the bicycle available for rent. The bicycle very comfortable and good. I rode to the center of Toyama to see the local park and sat at Starbucks. In the evening, in the living room, we sat down with the guesthouse owner and other guests, sharing our impressions of the day spent. I highly recommend this guesthouse. P.s. I also liked the house. It's in a Japanese style with european elements (the room for four people).

I'm sorry we only stayed for one night. I still want to stay here a little longer. If we have the opportunity, we will definitely come back again. Initially, I was worried because it was our first time driving in the snow in Japan. But the route was very convenient and not difficult to drive at all. If you're considering staying here, don't hesitate. The view is stunning, and you have to see it with your own eyes.

Satoe-san was very warm and welcoming. She made us breakfast upon request (need to order 3 days before the stay). Food is delicious, especially the firm Gokayama tofu and original dip she made! The location is perfect if you are coming from Shirakawago like us. It is in Gokayama which is also a heritage site. They have gassho houses that are equally beautiful and not as crowded as Shirakawago. We felt at home at Guest House Yamashita-ya. Hope we get a chance to stay again!

I love Ainokura during the winter time, staying at Minshuku Yomoshirou was the highlight of my trip, the snow were covering the village makes it extra magical. The owner is very helpful and kind, they were trying to explain the history of the town, about their ancestor and how they use to live in the mountain in the past. It just nice to be able to stay in the Gassho House and learnt about the wonderful Japanese culture.

古民家柚子季, a property with a garden, is situated in Tonami, 41 km from Kanazawa Castle, 41 km from Kenrokuen Garden, as well as 31 km from Toyama Station. The place is really great, the combination of old japanese home vibe and futuristic facilities. We got free delicious handmade ice-cream. Love the yogibo❤️

ヨーコのお宿 わくわく, a property with a garden and a terrace, is set in Toyama, 14 km from Masuyama Castle Ruins, 15 km from Toyama Family Park, as well as 15 km from Minami-Toyama Station. The house was the perfect size, super cozy, and had every amenity I needed! There were western style beds and traditional Japanese futons, the futon was so comfortable! The hosts were so welcoming and kind! They drove me to the station and back when I needed, and even cooked my breakfast! They made my trip to Toyama absolutely incredible! I will never forget it! I hope to come back again!!
