Coconut Village Guesthouse and Bungalow has a garden, terrace, a bar and barbecue facilities in Kep. Private parking is available on site at this recently renovated property. I thought about staying a near the city, but I chose this location instead because it’s in the center of every other place: the pepper farm, Kompong Trach water cave, Angkol beach, Kampot, and Vietnam border. The property is a lot bigger than I thought. They have a nice flower garden, and a big fishpond at the back. I arrived late at midnight, the gate was locked, but there was a staff waiting inside the gate. In the morning, I come to the bar area for breakfast. Chris and Chantal were wonderful, and they showed me some great places on a map. They even helped rent a scooter for me. Right after I finished my breakfast, the scooter was already here at the bar ready for me. I came back to the bar at night. Such a wonderful experience meeting up with people from different continents sharing travel experience and singing karaoke. I recommend you come to the bar area for amazing food and amazing people.

And as a bonus, there is also a pool to enjoy during your visit. I actually only left the resort once during my stay; it was so enjoyable just to relax on the property and catch up on my reading. The hosts are absolutely wonderful! The property is owned and operated by a husband / wife team and they truly compliment each other. They have put a lot of love into building this lovely, peaceful resort. There actually did a lot of the work themselves. Breakfast was included with my reservation and the hosts will also provide lunch and dinner if you request. Definitely stay for the meals! The hostess bakes some wonderful breads, she makes homemade yogurt and jams, and somehow she even finds the time to make dessert for the evening meal. The host mentioned he used to be a chef in a restaurant and that fact is obvious in his cooking skills. Between the two of them, all my meals were absolutely delicious! Kep is a quiet little town but Le Logis de Kep is the jewel of the area.

It's located a couple of meters away from the main street so it's rather quiet and you won't hear any traffic at night. Rooms are simple but totally fine. The wooden bungalow is charming. No bathroom or shower for these but there are 2 toilets and 2 showers for the 3 huts so not congested. Other bungalows are all en suite. Pool is stunning. Great lighting in the bungalow which is much appreciated. Lionel the owner is very knowledgeable and helpful and can arrange anything. About 10 minutes to the Crab market and restaurants but recommend a scooter so you can really get out and about.
