The room.was not too hot even during the day + very quiet for sleeping 😴 The location is good as you can easily access the waterfalls and the temple. Wifi was working. Bed + mosquito net. Everything great !

Featuring a garden and views of garden, Mailagama Cinnamon Residence is a recently renovated guest house set in Kataragama, 21 km from Situlpawwa. This was our second visit to Mailagama Cinnamon Residence and we were truly happy to see again the owners of the hotel, Indira and her husband. The hotel is located in a picturesque place among green rice fields. We loved walking around the area - there are large lakes nearby, and there are few people around, but an incredible number of peacocks. A real kingdom of peacocks. The room was clean and spacious, with a balcony with a great view. There was also a big shared terrace to work online or to do yoga. The fans helped to cope with the heat, which was important for us. We really liked the Srilankan food at the hotel - delicious and served with great elegance. Manager Inbaraj was always attentive and helped us with any questions. On his advice, we visited two temples - Rock Temple where you can see dozens of funny monkeys and Kataragama Maha Devalaya. Both places are interesting and atmospheric, especially the latter, which is famous for its festivals throughout the country. We hope to come back here next year to see the beauty of the nature and to feel the special friendly atmosphere.

Offering a garden and garden view, Lake Front Yala Safari is located in Kataragama, 18 km from Tissa Wewa and 18 km from Situlpawwa. Amazing place to stay and also amazing safari! We did the full day safari and it was a great experience! We saw so many amazing animals. We cannot recommend this place enough. The family is so kind and the service is excellent. The room is also very clean and comfortable with high quality Aircon.

Located in Bibile, 46 km from Maduru Oya National Park, Nobel Regency provides accommodation with a garden and free private parking. The property features garden views. Beautiful hidden place with amazing hosts . It’s like staying with family. We booked 1 night and ended up staying several weeks. The owner Ruwan is an amazing guy who goes out of his way to help with anything. We will definitely come back.

A good location for a hassle-free stay in Tanamalwila, Mayka's luxury holiday homes and Safari Thanamalwila is a guest house surrounded by views of the garden. Mayka is a lovely host! She and her husband organised an amazing safari for us and were really helpful and accommodating.

Featuring air-conditioned accommodation with a balcony, Hotel Serugahawatta is set in Wellawaya. There is an on-site restaurant, plus free private parking and free WiFi are available. Even though hotel is located by the Ella-Wellawaya road, the location is very calm. Construction wasn't done in some parts of the facility. But the available rooms were at good standard. Good value to your money.

Boasting a patio with garden views, free bikes and a garden, Humbhaha jungle yala nature eco resort can be found in Kataragama, close to Kataragama Temple and 18 km from Situlpawwa. We had a wonderful stay. The owner is a true artist and the fact is evident in every detail of his little village like resort. The communal dining was very good and even though we had to bow out because of jet lag we enjoyed listening to the drumming as we feel asleep, it didn’t go on very late so got plenty of rest for our early morning safari in Yala. Would stay here again!

Set in Kataragama, Safari Lodge Yala provides a restaurant and garden views, 2.3 km from Kataragama Temple and 16 km from Lunugamvehera National Park. Complimentary WiFi is provided. Awesome stay close to the one entrance to Yala. The owners helped us organize a full day safari with packed breakfast bags and lunch. Very friendly people working here! Rooms are comfortable with nice beds and well working AC. It feels like living in the jungle with monkeys often spotted in the trees around the hotel.
