I Kataragama, bare 21 kilometer fra Situlpawwa og 22 kilometer fra Tissa Wewa ligger Mailagama Cinnamon Residence. Absolutely stunning property. Lovely staff. Very helpful with organizing safari and rides onward. Highly recommend.

I Kataragama, 18 kilometer fra Tissa Wewa, ligger Lake Front Yala Safari, som har en hage, gratis privat parkering og en terrasse. Amazing place to stay and also amazing safari! We did the full day safari and it was a great experience! We saw so many amazing animals. We cannot recommend this place enough. The family is so kind and the service is excellent. The room is also very clean and comfortable with high quality Aircon.

I Bibile, 46 kilometer fra Maduru Oya nasjonalpark, ligger Nobel Regency, som har en hage, gratis privat parkering og en terrasse. Let me start with one thing, fantastic... the owner is one of a kind, room is clean and very well maintained... food is very good, and beyond everything their service is superb It was like my home and i felt like one.... so i suggest everyone to go and enjoy the stay, Trust me u wont regret that

Mayka's luxury holiday homes and Safari Thanamalwila ligger i Tanamalwila, med Udawalawe nasjonalpark bare 31 kilometer unna. Big room and bathroom with space to eat (so we could eat in our room instead of the restaurant upstairs, which was very cute tho...). Best wifi we had during our trip. Great location for Lunugamvehera Safari (we did not book it with them, but it seemed like we could because they also had a safari jeep). The owner speaks dutch and is very nice! We arranged a well priced tuktuk with her, that took us to Dickwella at 7 pm after our safari (about 2.30-3h drive). We enjoyed our stay and definitly recommend when visiting the Lunugamvehera side of Yala national park. Glad there was a restaurant in the hotel, because there did not seem to be much in the area (we didn't mind tho, we were only here for the safari :))

I Wellawaya, 28 kilometer fra Demodara Nine Arch Bridge, ligger Hotel Serugahawatta, som har en hage, gratis privat parkering, en fellesstue og en restaurant. We, my girlfriend and I, have experienced our stay as a wonderful journey. When we arrived, we were faced with a closed gate, but within seconds the owner arrived. After checking in, we entered the room – perfect! A nice big bed, a clean and spacious bathroom, air conditioning, Wi-Fi, and everything you could need! After having a little chat, the hotel owner asked about our plans. We mentioned that we came for the nature and tranquility, and without hesitation, he offered to show us around the area. This was the start of an experience we will never forget. 🙏 First, we went to a small waterfall, very local with no tourists – just some local youngsters hanging out who even offered us a beer. Then he took us to Diyaluma Falls – what a massive waterfall that was! He offered us lunch, which he had made himself! A sandwich we’ll never forget; it was incredibly delicious. Next, we visited Buduruwagala Rock Carvings, where the owner introduced us to Buddhism. The place was surrounded by nature – trees, plants, birds – pure enjoyment. We thought we were heading back to the hotel, but nothing could be further from the truth. We visited real monks, where we received blessings and a white bracelet from an elderly monk. They also offered us boiled corn – so tasty! After the visit, we continued back to the hotel. On the way, we ran into a friend of the owner, who invited us to their home. When we arrived, the whole family was there to meet us. What kind and friendly people! They offered us tea and chocolate biscuits, and my girlfriend even received a gift! It gave us such a happy feeling, something we will cherish forever. ❤️ Then it was time to head back to the hotel – or so we thought. Instead, we went elephant spotting! Yes, you read that right – real wild elephants! It got quite late, but we spotted several wild animals, including both a male and female elephant. This, too, will stay with us forever.

I Monaragala, 45 kilometer fra Buduruwagala Temple, ligger Kande Gedara Resort (කන්දෙ ගෙදර), som har en hage, gratis privat parkering, en terrasse og en restaurant. Michael is a fantastic host! His home is a true oasis, located in amongst trees and wildlife. We loved his chatty and friendly cat, and of course his food was amazing. Dinner is 1800 LKR/person, which for us was a little pricey, however worth it. A home away from home! Thank you so much, Michael.

I Kataragama, 18 kilometer fra Situlpawwa, ligger Humbhaha jungle yala nature eco resort, som har gratis sykler, gratis privat parkering, en hage og en fellesstue. We had a wonderful stay. The owner is a true artist and the fact is evident in every detail of his little village like resort. The communal dining was very good and even though we had to bow out because of jet lag we enjoyed listening to the drumming as we feel asleep, it didn’t go on very late so got plenty of rest for our early morning safari in Yala. Would stay here again!
