One of the best stays in Sri Lanka! The room.was not too hot even during the day + very quiet for sleeping 😴 The location is good as you can easily access the waterfalls and the temple. Wifi was working. Bed + mosquito net. Everything great !

Amazing place to stay and also amazing safari! We did the full day safari and it was a great experience! We saw so many amazing animals. We cannot recommend this place enough. The family is so kind and the service is excellent. The room is also very clean and comfortable with high quality Aircon.

Big room and bathroom with space to eat (so we could eat in our room instead of the restaurant upstairs, which was very cute tho...). Best wifi we had during our trip. Great location for Lunugamvehera Safari (we did not book it with them, but it seemed like we could because they also had a safari jeep). The owner speaks dutch and is very nice! We arranged a well priced tuktuk with her, that took us to Dickwella at 7 pm after our safari (about 2.30-3h drive). We enjoyed our stay and definitly recommend when visiting the Lunugamvehera side of Yala national park. Glad there was a restaurant in the hotel, because there did not seem to be much in the area (we didn't mind tho, we were only here for the safari :))

We, my girlfriend and I, have experienced our stay as a wonderful journey. When we arrived, we were faced with a closed gate, but within seconds the owner arrived. After checking in, we entered the room – perfect! A nice big bed, a clean and spacious bathroom, air conditioning, Wi-Fi, and everything you could need! After having a little chat, the hotel owner asked about our plans. We mentioned that we came for the nature and tranquility, and without hesitation, he offered to show us around the area. This was the start of an experience we will never forget. 🙏 First, we went to a small waterfall, very local with no tourists – just some local youngsters hanging out who even offered us a beer. Then he took us to Diyaluma Falls – what a massive waterfall that was! He offered us lunch, which he had made himself! A sandwich we’ll never forget; it was incredibly delicious. Next, we visited Buduruwagala Rock Carvings, where the owner introduced us to Buddhism. The place was surrounded by nature – trees, plants, birds – pure enjoyment. We thought we were heading back to the hotel, but nothing could be further from the truth. We visited real monks, where we received blessings and a white bracelet from an elderly monk. They also offered us boiled corn – so tasty! After the visit, we continued back to the hotel. On the way, we ran into a friend of the owner, who invited us to their home. When we arrived, the whole family was there to meet us. What kind and friendly people! They offered us tea and chocolate biscuits, and my girlfriend even received a gift! It gave us such a happy feeling, something we will cherish forever. ❤️ Then it was time to head back to the hotel – or so we thought. Instead, we went elephant spotting! Yes, you read that right – real wild elephants! It got quite late, but we spotted several wild animals, including both a male and female elephant. This, too, will stay with us forever.

Ubytovanie Humbhaha jungle yala nature eco resort sa nachádza v destinácii Kataragama 18 km od miesta Situlpawwa. We had a wonderful stay. The owner is a true artist and the fact is evident in every detail of his little village like resort. The communal dining was very good and even though we had to bow out because of jet lag we enjoyed listening to the drumming as we feel asleep, it didn’t go on very late so got plenty of rest for our early morning safari in Yala. Would stay here again!

Set in Kataragama, Safari Lodge Yala provides a restaurant and garden views, 2.3 km from Kataragama Temple and 16 km from Lunugamvehera National Park. Complimentary WiFi is provided. Awesome stay close to the one entrance to Yala. The owners helped us organize a full day safari with packed breakfast bags and lunch. Very friendly people working here! Rooms are comfortable with nice beds and well working AC. It feels like living in the jungle with monkeys often spotted in the trees around the hotel.
