The cabin is marvelously located overlooking the lake and the terrace is an absolute highlight, so nice to hang out. The cabin itself is small and basic, but with everything you need! Even coffee and tea facilities :-) We had a great time and enjoyed every minute.

I stayed in some guesthouses in the same price range throughout Sri Lanka, and the water pressure and temperature of the shower were the best I have ever had. The room was bright, spacious and clean. The air conditioning works well. The owners were kind and helpful. And we appreciated the free bottles of water and hiring of a scooter from here to get around the world heritage sites. The location was also very convenient, close to restaurants, heritage sites and bus stops.

Featuring garden views, New Haven Polonnaruwa features accommodation with balcony, around 50 km from Pidurangala Rock. New Haven Polonnaruwa has been, by far, the best guesthouse I've been in my whole trip. The place is brand new, extremely comfortable and clean. It is also decorated with good taste. The exterior area, still under construction, is spaceous, and has a lot of possibilities. It has a traditional kitchen built in clay, and an area to have breakfast/lunch/dinner very cozy and nice. Congratulations to the chef! Food is so good! The owner, Iran, puts a lot of love on the project. Also he has shown me his amazing paddy field, we've collected coconuts together and do not worry if the place doesn't have a swimming pool (yet), because he took me to a canal for a nice swim very near from the place.

Located just 700 metres from Polonnaruwa Clock Tower, Villa Ravichini features accommodation in Polonnaruwa with access to a garden, a bar, as well as a housekeeping service. I can't recommend Villa Ravichini Homestay enough! The place is fantastic. The bed was comfortable, the bathroom nice with good water pressure, and the breakfast was delicious. But what truly sets this homestay apart is Ravi. He's the heart and soul of the place — so patient, kind, and helpful. Despite the heavy rain on my arrival, he suggested a safari to the Eco Park nearby, where we saw many elephants and plenty of birds. Shiran, our driver, was great too — knowledgeable and respectful of animals and of nature! Ravi also made amazing tea, rented me a bike, and even took me to the Shivaratri Festival at the ancient temples. If you're in Polonnaruwa, stay at Villa Ravichini.

A Polonnaruwa településén épült Thisara Guest House ingyenes wifivel ellátott szobákkal várja vendégeit. A szálláshely kertjében ülősarok, valamint étterem és 24 órás recepció áll rendelkezésre. Rizsföldre nézett az ablakunk, ami szerintünk szép, de meg van a hátránya is, mivel sokféle rovar van a közelben. Kedves volt a személyzet, segítettek a továbbutazást megszervezni. A szoba nagysága elfogadható, nem nagy, de otthonos. A reggeli finom és bőséges volt. A vacsorát is ott kértük, ami ugyacsak bőséges és finom volt. Tudtunk biciklit bérelni, ami fejenként 1000 LRK volt egy napra. Ez segített abban, hogy bejárjuk a város nevezetességeit.

The hosts were extremely friendly and made sure we had everything we needed for a comfortable stay. Highly recommend this place if you’re visiting Polonnaruwa!
