The area is popular for cycling, and bike hire is available at the guest house. We were a group of 4 friends crossing the High Atlas by foot! After we slept a few days in mountain shelters and caves we made it to Megdaz and it felt like heaven! Mohammed picked us up with a car and brought us to Dar Megdaz. And it was like heaven for us. Mohammed is such a nice person, he showed us around the village and explained us every part of Berber culture. His mother cooked for us and we had the most delicious food of all our Morocco trip. Mohammed and his family are so warm and friendly people! And the guest house was really beautiful, the terrace with a nice view and the comfy beds. If you come to the High Atlas, Dar Megdaz should be a priority on the list for you!

I felt at home and relaxed from the moment I walked in. Anne & Ali's hospitality was some of the best I've received in Morocco. The meals are fresh with lots of variety and local ingredients. Anne prepared a picnic lunch for me every day to take with me on my bicycle- which was great since it is Ramadan and food isn't easy to find during the day. The room was private, comfortable and spacious. I appreciated having a heater to warm the room before I went to sleep. Bathroom and shower are great. Washer was available to clean my clothes. The property is peaceful and well situated to explore Ait Bouguemez Valley. I recommend staying here!
