Where to even begin… our stay at Whale Shark Beach is one we will not forget. The staff were so accommodating and friendly for our entire stay. They always welcomed us back from our excursions or just afternoons out on the beach and always wanted to know what we had done that day. The food was immaculate and we ended up eating at the hotel every night so we could keep trying things off the menu. The rooftop dining area is especially lovely, it’s nice to be able to see the stars during the evening. The excursions team were absolutely incredible. We saw dolphins, turtles, various reefs and had an unforgettable experience swimming with manta rays. The team were also incredibly generous and allowed us to join two additional manta ray and whale shark trips for no additional cost after we had not seen them initially. The boat was well equipped and the team were incredibly focussed on guest safety in the water as well as enjoyment. Another key thing that we applaud the excursions team on is ensuring the safety and well being of the wild animals we saw whilst out on the sea. The boat engine was immediately turned off as soon as we saw dolphins and they kept a good distance away instead of chasing and harassing the animals. Additionally, prior to one of our whale shark tours we were briefed on how to swim with the animal safely and were reminded that if anyone tried to touch or swim to close to the animal they would be removed from the water. As someone who works in marine animal conservation, I applaud the team at Whale Shark Beach for putting the animals first and ensuring that both them and the guests could have a safe and enjoyable experience. The room was lovely. The bed was the most comfortable bed I’d ever slept in and very spacious. The television also had smart options available to watch Netflix or Amazon Prime which was a big bonus.

It’s very clean as well, perfect for couples and families. It’s also near bikini beach so you wont have to walk far to reach the beach. We really enjoyed our stay here and the stars look so bright at night at the rooftop. Kudos to the staff as well! Would love to go back!

Żona Amjada gotuje przepyszne domowe posiłki. Pokoje są duże i czyste. Spędziliśmy u Amjada piękne wakacje i bardzo polecamy Villa Ayira. Amjad is truly the perfect host. He is incredibly polite, caring and does his best to fulfill all your wishes before you even think about them. He helps organize local trips and makes sure that you are satisfied with every detail. Villa Ayira offers a very nice and homely atmosphere, and the young staff is extremely friendly and accommodating. Amjad's wife makes delicious, home-cooked meals. The rooms are large and clean. We spent a beautiful holiday with Amjad and we highly recommend Villa Ayira – it’s a place we would love to come back to.

This was already the second time that we stayed in the Tides Guesthouse and nothing has changed within a year (in a positiv way)! The staff is still very friendly and helpflul. The daily breakfast is very tasty. The rooms are cleaned every day and you get new towls whenever you need them. In addition, the staff organises whale shark, manta and other tours. Don't worry about the transfer to Dhigurah, the Tides Guesthouse also takes care of that! A special thank you goes to Hafeez (owner) and Lahiru (staff)! They are taking very good care of all guests and whenever you have a request, they handle it!

The host and his guys are the most welcoming and helpful staff ever, they were super nice and helped us organize everything . I recomend the excursions and the dinner beach too. The guesthouse is cozy, the breakfast is very good. The room was clean and had everything you need. The gave us also fins free of charge! It is a 10/ 10!
