The bed was comfortable, the room big, the a/c worked really well and you have access to free water/coffee/tea. The location is perfect! It's in a quiet street at 5 minutes' walking distance of jonker street. You can even wash some clothes and hang them at the balcony. She has every very well organized and it felt like home. Definitely recommend staying here. She is wonderful and her husband is also very kind! I was waiting for my Grab, but first he was stuck in traffic (weekend), and after he got out of the traffic jam, he went north instead of south. I was going to miss my bus and therefore her husband offered me a ride. I still missed the bus, unfortunately, but it was super kind of him, and I really appreciated it!

Old town guest house is a little gem tucked away in the old town section of Malacca, reasonably close to the heritage sights. The decor is quirky & unique, with small, but clean and comfortable rooms. The hosts are wonderful people and treat you like family. Mr. Chua gave me a printed map of the heritage sights and advised me of how to navigate it through the day. He did not try to sell any tours and recommended that we walk everywhere. When we were leaving, his wife packed us some homemade snacks for our journey to Cameron highlands. This thoughtful gesture was over and above the daily breakfast included in the room price.

Communication with the host is a breeze. I'm glad we took up this offer. 😌 I'm thrilled with it. Will return here without a doubt. We are grateful to Mr Luqman for helping us over our entire stay. D'Laksamana is beyond my expectations. We got the whole floor with our group. Perfect cleaning. We can use 2 bathrooms (1 in my room and 1 shared bathroom). All the facilities like toiletries, towels... are so good. There were lots of adapter chargers which were so convenient for us to charge all the electric devices. The location is perfect, next to the Jonker Street and a lot of local restaurants with cheap prices. Despite all the busy streets nearby, the neighbors were quiet at night so they could have a good sleep. Mr. Kee also gave us mandarin to eat for free. His hospitality really made the trip to Melaka more memorable.
