This is such a special, beautiful place! Very quiet, love the location and all the animals, birds, and nature. Very clean, comfortable beds and the wifi worked great. Very nice outside terrace for sitting. Also we took a taxi with Whanganui Taxi Company (Joseph) into town for drinks in the evening, which was easy and worked well.

We liked everything! Nice ground level apartment with plenty of room, comfortable bed and very clean. Carol was a great host and made sure we felt at home. Breakfast was continental with 3 different types of cereal and other amenities. We would detour out of our way to stay here again! Even got a spot in the garage for my rental car...can't beat that! Great value for the price.

So many little things had been thought of e.g emergency sanitary products, shaving gel, beach towels etc Nice big comfy bed and TV to watch after a long day exploring. Nice and quiet and can walk in to town quite quickly but the river is a little further. Lovely outdoor area for own use. Property was very clean.

Absolutely enjoyed our 2 night stay at Waikawa Beach Pod. The Pod is beautifully set up with all the amenities you require. We were generously welcomed with home baking and a bottle of wine. Set in tranquil country surroundings you can enjoy the indoor/outdoor flow and the beach close by. The beach is excellent. Richard and Christine our hosts are a lovely, welcoming couple. Loki their dog was also adorable. If you are looking for a space to unwind, relax, to breathe in the peacefulness we fully recommend the Pod. This gem is not for party-goers. It’s absolutely perfect in every way. Alan and Lois really have found a slice of paradise. They are also the most wonderful people and fantastic hosts. You will not find better. This guest wing is extremely spacious , clean and comfortable. The beds are like clouds. Alan and Lois go above and beyond to ensure you’ll have everything you need. The breakfast is amazing and we could have chatted all day. Thank you for making our stay so lovely. We’d stay here again in a heartbeat.

Really wonderful place to stay. Small but well equipped food prep space. We walked in to the town - might be a bit of a distance for some people. Very friendly hosts. Would stay again.

The cottage is lovely. Just what we wanted: a charming and comfortable place to take an overnight break on our road trip to Wellington from Taupō. When we arrived she had lovely cakes awaiting and even went the extra length to make sure one was gluten-free. It was fresh-baked and AMAZING! Our fridge was stocked with everything we would want to wake-up to for breakfast: fresh-squeezed OJ, delicious fresh fruits, cereals and breads (with gluten-free options), tea, coffee ... the works. We left feeling recharged. As we were leaving, Karen invited us to pick a few apples from her lovely orchard for our ride to Wellington. Our stay at Pin Oaks was simply perfect.
