When you pull into the drive of the Signal Box, you'll see a house under renovation to your left. Pay no attention to that, but look straight ahead; the unit above the garages is the large, lovely room you'll have all to yourself. Enormous windows look over the bucolic property, which gently slopes down to the Whanganui River. It's really like a mini paradise and owner Renee couldn't be nicer or more helpful. Highly recommended!

Extremely well equipped. So many little things had been thought of e.g emergency sanitary products, shaving gel, beach towels etc Nice big comfy bed and TV to watch after a long day exploring. Nice and quiet and can walk in to town quite quickly but the river is a little further. Lovely outdoor area for own use. Property was very clean.

Absolutely enjoyed our 2 night stay at Waikawa Beach Pod. The Pod is beautifully set up with all the amenities you require. We were generously welcomed with home baking and a bottle of wine. Set in tranquil country surroundings you can enjoy the indoor/outdoor flow and the beach close by. The beach is excellent. Richard and Christine our hosts are a lovely, welcoming couple. Loki their dog was also adorable. If you are looking for a space to unwind, relax, to breathe in the peacefulness we fully recommend the Pod. This gem is not for party-goers. Cereals, a loaf of bread, butter, jams, apples, yoghurt, juice and fresh milk all left in the fridge for us.

Small but well equipped food prep space. We walked in to the town - might be a bit of a distance for some people. Very friendly hosts. Would stay again.
