When you pull into the drive of the Signal Box, you'll see a house under renovation to your left. Pay no attention to that, but look straight ahead; the unit above the garages is the large, lovely room you'll have all to yourself. Enormous windows look over the bucolic property, which gently slopes down to the Whanganui River. It's really like a mini paradise and owner Renee couldn't be nicer or more helpful. Highly recommended!

Nice and quiet and can walk in to town quite quickly but the river is a little further. Lovely outdoor area for own use. Property was very clean.

Bit tight with the headroom in the bedroom, but shouldn't be a problem if you are a bit flexible. Everything looked really clean and new. Excellent choice!

The Pod is beautifully set up with all the amenities you require. We were generously welcomed with home baking and a bottle of wine. Set in tranquil country surroundings you can enjoy the indoor/outdoor flow and the beach close by. The beach is excellent. Richard and Christine our hosts are a lovely, welcoming couple. Loki their dog was also adorable. If you are looking for a space to unwind, relax, to breathe in the peacefulness we fully recommend the Pod. This gem is not for party-goers. Upon arrival, you receive a warm welcome – a personal touch and with a lovingly prepared aperitif. The hot tub is already heated and invites you to relax. All rooms are furnished with great attention to detail and provide a warm, inviting atmosphere. Added to this is the high standard of cleanliness – you feel at home from the very first moment. The beds are extremely comfortable; we slept wonderfully. The absolute highlight was the breakfast: individually prepared, fresh, plentiful, and simply delicious. A big thank you to Lois and Alan for your wonderful hospitality – we felt right at home and will definitely be back!
