Before arrival we received an email from Shannon that made our trip more interesting with her advice & tips about the city, supermarket, shops, restaurants bars are within walking distance. Would recommend The 1890 Freeman House to everybody! It's a true sample of excellent hospitality. Thank you again Shannon for going just that little step extra for the guests!!!

The staff was super helpful and kind. The rooms were beautiful and completely clean and far exceeded any expectations I had had, and it was a delight staying here. Outdoors a beautiful little garden was almost finished, and it was a delight resting in the area there. Despite a little finish still lacking here in early spring, it was already gorgeous. We stayed at Regency Inn for the Eclipse viewing, and had an absolutely wonderful time. If you're looking to stay in the area I would definitely recommend staying here.

It is exceptionally clean, and has an updated kitchenette and bathroom. The owner is such a nice guy and you can tell he really cares about his guests and making your stay comfortable and relaxing. They are also very dog friendly! The property is situated in a quiet, peaceful neighborhood but still close to the downtown square and shops/restaurants. We stayed here as we were moving out of Texas but if we ever find ourselves back in the area, we will definitely be staying here again!
