our stay at Bujtina Izet Selimaj was very very nice - the rooms were clean and very cosy, we had all the equipment needed and were regularly asked if we need something, it was warm inside the house all the time, water for showering was hot, beds were very comfy, we had very nice view from the rooms on the mountains, the family that runs the guesthouse is very friendly and welcoming, the breakfast was delicious, one of us was eating it every morning in the restaurant while the other two mostly took lunch boxes to go hiking (nice packages every time), the guest house is in a way in the middle of the valley (which is quite long), it is a very practical departure point for hiking, we also had one dinner in the restaurant, the prices are very correct and the food is nice, everything feels very like at home, we were very happy with our choice of stay in the Valbona valley

The host was very accommodating, we booked very last minute but the room was ready and we were welcomed in. The beds were comfy and the little electronic heater in the room worked very well ! Shared bathroom between two rooms, very clean and brand new looking, fantastic shower. Breakfast is included, we got tomatos and cucumber, bread, jam, a boiled egg and some feta(?) and butter(?). No kettle or anything in the rooom. Good for a night near valbona.

The owner were very friendly and helpful! It was clean and with everything that we needed. The breakfast was good and with fresh vegetables. The next restaurant ist 30min footwalk or 5min by car away and very nice!

We stayed here before leaving for the Hike from Valbonë to Theth. It was just great. One of our best experiences in Albania for sure! The family was just so cute. They cooked dinner for us in the evening. Everything was from their own farm and it was just so tasteful and amazing. We loved it! The best food we had here in Albania! The son was speaking English, so you could easily communicate with him. We also loved all the animals. For the hike the room is perfectly located. They even made us a lunch package for our hike, which was so delicious (great cheese and sausage and the best apple I had in Albania). Also the room was so tidy and clean and even though they did not have a heater, we were not freezing because they prepared really thick wool blankets.

    We had an amazing time at the Stonehouse. Lovely hosts who were always there for everything we needed and showed us several hiking tours. We enjoyed the tasty food, the nice garden and the interesting stories they told us about the valley. Definitely a perfect place to stay!

    This was like having a lovely home stay experience. Our room was basic but adequate, and was good value for money. There was easy access to a comfortable balcony with a magnificent view. The food was plentiful and home grown and cooked by our very lovely hosts.They were helpful in finding transport to the Valbone trail head. It was overall a great experience .

    Lovely host family that was really welcoming. Great location as it is a short walk from the town centre. Delicious dinner provided by the host for an extra 9 euros and they also provide packed lunch for a small fee if you are doing the hike to Theth the next day.

    host family were very kind people. the dinner when we arrived was so tasty and they were very accommodating of our vegetarianism. we came to hike the valley to theth, and the place was maybe 30 mins walk to the start of the trail, so a good location. the host packed our breakfast up for us as we went early :) the place was homestay-style, so the bathroom was simple but everything was clean and we had hot water, so no complaints.
