Homestays in Daylesford

We stayed in Room 5 at the Albert Hotel. The property had all the amenities we needed. I expected the room to be a bit bigger when we first got there but actually it was sufficient for our needs. We were surprised there was a little fridge with tea and coffee facilities as this wasn’t listed on your website, but I was very pleased to see it there. The fridge was just enough to store a couple of things in it for the night. And milk was provided for a nice cuppa in the morning which was a bonus :) Unfortunately the bathroom and ceiling fan lights weren’t working when we arrived but a quick call to the staff rectified this promptly. The shower has very good water pressure and the claw foot bath was divine and so relaxing :) I really like the spaciousness of the bathroom. There was a stool, a chair, a towel rack, the toilet, decent sized basin, claw foot bath and shower over bath all in the one room. The border tiling was also magnificent :) I really liked the period features of this hotel, and the separate bath was great and worked well :) We preferred that to having the ensuite bathroom. It would be handy to have a door going from the bedroom to the bathroom just for added privacy, but it wasn't really that big a deal and it's literally 3 steps down the corridor to get to the bathroom anyways. The contactless check in process was very easy, and I am very grateful that we were able to have a later check out as well. Thankyou for an enjoyable stay :)

The seclusion and intimate ambience of this phenomenal retreat made our Wedding weekend so fulfilling. Romantic decor is classy and there’s serenity one abundance. So much comfort and privacy in an idyllic bush land location. Jo is a supreme host who did everything to ensure our stay was the best possible - she sets the Gold standard by which all others should be compared. Nothing was too much trouble for her. If you’re looking for a romantic escape location then seriously consider this. Exceptional value is offered. Wish we could rate Jo and her venue higher. Thank you so much Jo. David & Lisa
