We chose Gasthaus zum Kreuz as an overnight stop on our way to Interlaken, and we were pleasantly surprised by this gem of a hotel! The rooms are spacious, clean, and full of character, with a classic antique charm that adds a unique and cozy atmosphere.
The staff was exceptionally welcoming and attentive, providing helpful recommendations and ensuring we had everything we needed. The breakfast was delicious, offering a great start to the day.

A beautiful country farming setting in rural Switzerland. The small apartment was wonderful and wifi great. The restaurant on location was closed (Monday) but we met the owners the next morning and they were very pleasant and spoke excellent English. Parking was easy just outside the door to the stairs for the 2nd floor apartment. Very peaceful. We enjoyed the in room snacks and coffee provided by the owners.

We absolutely LOVED our stay here! Gorgeous location! Ewa was SO helpful with giving tips for things to do locally, and being flexible with check-in time. The place was immaculately clean, which was great, as well as the bedrooms having the en-suite bathrooms. It was so nice to have a kitchen and a large table to comfortably seat 8 people. My kids loved the foosball table and the games on the rainy evening.
Travelers on a budget looking to experience a place like a local will enjoy homestays. These simple accommodations are in a private home, where the host also lives. All facilities are shared and in most cases breakfast is included.
