Nice accommodations, easy parking, and not too expensive so everything you could ask for, and the host Sandra is super friendly, bubbly and welcoming; she is a fabulous host!,
She doesn't offer breakfast but there is a bakery and supermarket on the doorstep and there is a fully equipped kitchen/dining room at the top of the house so you can easily make your own or cook a meal. Plus Sandra thinks of everything in the kitchen/diner and the bathroom.
The town of Sempach is extremely pretty and everything is on your doorstep including the incredibly beautiful lake, the views of the mountains and a lovley area to walk in, all of which are all only a couple of minutes’ walk from the accommodation. Plus, the town has a number of good restaurants, a teddy bear museum, shops and a lovely bakery we would certainly stay there again the next time we are in the area.

Accommodation was right in the centre of the old town and only an easy 10 minute walk from the train station. The shared bathroom wasn't a problem. Breakfast was very nice and included some delicious cheeses. Hosts were friendly and offered us the use of a coffee pod machine when we asked about the lack of tea and coffee-making facilities in the room. The stairs weren't easy to manage with 20 kg of luggage, but we expect that in Europe and we did get some help. We would go back.

The quiet location and the horses, so gentle and loved having a nose stroke, very comfortable bed and the host was very nice and helpful

Very nice room for the price, It’s close to the local train stations, The communal facilities in the kitchen/dinning area were really handy and even though I didn’t use the washing machine or tumble dryer it was still a huge plus to have the ability to use them. The landlord gery was a very nice person and made me feel comfortable I was slightly delayed getting there but he made contact an asked what time I would be there which was a nice touch.
The Roesli Guest House is situated in the heart of Lucerne, close to the Spreuer Bridge. You enjoy free access to the sister hotel's renovated outdoor pool across the street.
Travellers on a budget looking to experience a place like a local will enjoy homestays. This simple accommodation is in a private home, where the host also lives. All facilities are shared and in most cases breakfast is included.
During our 2 week European road trip we had to return as our first stay was amazing .
The welcome from all staff , the room upgrade , the restuarant, the invitation to the dancing 💃downstairs with the locals, the breakfast , the goodbyes in morning ! Everyone treated us like Kings & Queens . 10/10 to all hopefully see you all next year.
