I only stayed here for one night, but it left such a deep impression on me. I arrived early, feeling exhausted from travel and a little unwell, and the room was already ready for check in - something I was incredibly grateful for.
But what truly made this stay unforgettable was the family hosting the place. Their kindness and care were absolutely extraordinary. They were there for every little question, provided me with everything I needed, and made me feel not just welcomed, but genuinely cared for. It was the kind of warmth and generosity that’s rare to find - I almost felt like I had become a part of their family.
Thanks to them, I had a perfect rest and a smooth trip the next morning. I’ve never stayed anywhere quite like this before. The kindness I experienced here was truly something out of this world :)

Jeannette is always gracious and helpful. Property security is very good. Access to airport is ideal.as well as to local buses. Kitchen area is generous and well equipped. Good WiFi and very clean.

Breakfast was really good, more or less a basic casado. Gustavo was very helpful. I appreciated his providing me a ride to the farmers market, dealing with a shoe repair fellow on my behalf, and taking me to the Alajuela market.
I had picked up some things at the Farmers market, and I appreciated Rosi and her daughter's help in processing them.
I happen to speak half way decent Spanish, and I enjoyed chatting with members of the family.
Access to the second floor balcony was also a big positive, as there is a refrigerator and sink there.

The host was wonderful, helpful and kind! The place was perfectly clean and great for a stay before an early flight. We found a restaurant walking distance from the place.
Travelers on a budget looking to experience a place like a local will enjoy homestays. These simple accommodations are in a private home, where the host also lives. All facilities are shared and in most cases breakfast is included.
Super convenient location for the airport, yet really quiet too.

The property is modern and the bedroom comfortable and self contained with it’s own bathroom. Monica is a great host, making coffee and breakfast in the morning. The house is perfect for an airport overnight stay :o)
Lovely host, very welcoming and friendly people one of whom speaks fluent English. It's a good value alternative if you're staying a night or two before going to the airport.
