I only stayed here for one night, but it left such a deep impression on me. I arrived early, feeling exhausted from travel and a little unwell, and the room was already ready for check in - something I was incredibly grateful for.
But what truly made this stay unforgettable was the family hosting the place. Their kindness and care were absolutely extraordinary. They were there for every little question, provided me with everything I needed, and made me feel not just welcomed, but genuinely cared for. It was the kind of warmth and generosity that’s rare to find - I almost felt like I had become a part of their family.
Thanks to them, I had a perfect rest and a smooth trip the next morning. I’ve never stayed anywhere quite like this before. The kindness I experienced here was truly something out of this world :)

This is a perfect place to stay for an overnight to catch a flight at SJO. As a solo female traveler, I felt good about the security and the on site assistance from the lovely women running the property.
There was a great food court just down the street and it was convenient, safe and easy. It was quiet and the plane was designed beautifully. I enjoyed coffee in the peaceful backyard garden.

Breakfast was really good, more or less a basic casado. Gustavo was very helpful. I appreciated his providing me a ride to the farmers market, dealing with a shoe repair fellow on my behalf, and taking me to the Alajuela market.
I had picked up some things at the Farmers market, and I appreciated Rosi and her daughter's help in processing them.
I happen to speak half way decent Spanish, and I enjoyed chatting with members of the family.
Access to the second floor balcony was also a big positive, as there is a refrigerator and sink there.

The host was wonderful, helpful and kind! The place was perfectly clean and great for a stay before an early flight. We found a restaurant walking distance from the place.
Travelers on a budget looking to experience a place like a local will enjoy homestays. These simple accommodations are in a private home, where the host also lives. All facilities are shared and in most cases breakfast is included.
Truly an oasis minutes away from the airport. a lovely host. Home-made breakfast.
