The owner of this place is an absolute dream. Speaks fluent English, can give all advice on transport to the Quilotoa Loop or elsewhere in Ecuador. Super location and functional private rooms.

In the last day we asked to leave our backpacks and come back and take it. The receptionist said it’s no problem and we can leave it in the room and come back to take it later, of course he asked when were expected to be back. When we revised our things after leaving we were missing 140$ which were very well hidden and the only time they weren’t supervised by us was when we left our backpacks there. I contacted the hostal through booking and of course they’re not responding.

Basic accommodation. Clean. Okay host. Secure entrance.
We asked for a double but were given a bunk bed instead. Toilet downstairs.
Has a kitchen but we didn't use it.
Slightly far from town, but good cheap local eateries
Travellers on a budget looking to experience a place like a local will enjoy homestays. This simple accommodation is in a private home, where the host also lives. All facilities are shared and in most cases breakfast is included.
private home, very clean and well equipped. nice view to Cotopaxi Nationalpark. owners really helpful, set up the jacuzzi and fire for us and gave a great tips for the area!
A good hostel to stay in for a night before and after you begin the Quilatoa Loop. Stayed in both a dorm and a private room. We should of been in a private both nights but there was a mix up and our room wasn’t available. Kitchen facilities. Hostel is well located and within walking distance of the bus station.
Stunning views, do ask for a room over looking the square. Lovely hosts that make you feel most welcome and take time to get you to improve your Spanish. Bag storage available.
Comfy space, speedy wifi, location is not in the centre which is good in case of Latacunga, the hostel is close to a supermarket, fruit shops, bakeries etc, walkable from/to the bus terminal. It has a potential for being a great hostel but...
