Beautiful property with luxurious rooms nestled in stunning countryside. So much attention to detail - fluffy pillows, the perfect night’s sleep in a gorgeous bed, big bath and shower which were sparklingly clean. Fridge in the room with lots of tea and coffee options and homemade flapjack. Even a drop of sherry on the dresser!
Complimentary coffee and huge slice of cake on arrival. Absolutely stunning views from every window. Well attended bird feeder on the patio with so many species. I can still hear the birdsong now!
Ann and her husband were so welcoming and attentive. Gave me lots of information on local walking and where to get dinner etc (the Wilson’s is a short, pretty walk along the old railway line and very friendly with good solid pub food and a couple of veggie options. Nice deli next door too).
Home cooked breakfast and continental options. The perfect start to a day’s walking. Cannot recommend highly enough and will definitely be back with family.

Angela and Mike were lovely hosts and we had a well equipped seperate kitchen, good shower, lounge and bedroom, so lots of space. The place was clean and tidy and within near walking distance of coniston. Mark and Sarah New Zealand 🇳🇿
Lovely hostel with friendly staff and options for dinner upon arrival. Great value for money and good stop off if you're walking the Cumbria Way. Theres a lovely little lounge area downstairs where you can cosy up with a book as well as grab a drink.
Breakfast was a tenner but worth it and they accommodated me with veggie sausages 😁
very friendly staff, nice showers, comfy communal space, food was a little expensive for what it was, some areas where cooold but all in all a nice stay at a good hostel.
